Take control of a babyface (good guy) team and face a heel (bad guy) team. Grapple an opponent when the player's wrestler's arms are up and the opponent's arms are down. The player then cycles through a list of moves and must select one before the timer runs out. If either wrestler runs out of health he collapses and the opponent immediately gets the pin, so keep an eye on the health meter.
Unlike the NES port, the player-controlled team are useridentical in look and move selection.

A match of wits and skill with classic ring techniques used in today's popular professional wrestling arenas. The ringside announcer to signal the start of the match introduces the events. The player battles each of his 5 awesome opponents in quest of the championship. Timely use of joystick and buttons maneuvers the player into position and activates all the standard as well as spectacular moves including : Pile Driver, Sunset Flip, Rolling Sole Butt, Lariat, Plunger, Flying Body Press, everything to weaken the enemy for a pin-fall win for the count of 3, or keeping the challenger out of the ring for a twenty count. After each win, the player takes on the next opponent for another three-minute period. If he defeats all of the opponents, he earns the right to the Championship Belt and goes on to the next four in defense of his title. Colorful, fast-paced action plus realistic sound effects of hits, moves, count-down and crowd cheers adds to the atmosphere and excitement associated with the current rage of professional wrestling.

Step into the ring!
Now, you can be a part of the crazy, hard-hitting world of pro-wrestling. You'll deliver head-butts, elbow jabs and body-slams and get into out-of-the-ring free-for-alls. Maybe you'll even be saved by the bell.
All the razzmatazz of all-American wrestling is valiantly attempted, but the overall impression is that it's been skimped on in all departments.

The wrestlers, such as "The British Star" Rex Beat and "The Technician" Dr. Guildo have a full assortment of professional wrestling moves and holds such as the Pile Driver, Shoulder Throw, Cobra Twist, as well as the ever-popular Slam the Guys Face Into the Metal Post maneuver.
Before selected matches you'll be able to beef up you're wrestler's strength with three different exercises. The bottom portion of the screen is where the energetic announcer describes what is going on in the ring, move by move.

WCW Superbrawl Wrestling is loaded with features guaranteed to make wrestling fans get off the mat and take notice, but poor graphics and gameplay bring it down for the count. Players can wrestle solo or challenge a friend, or team up for a four-player tag team brawl. Sting, Ric Flair, and ten other top WCW superstars are equipped with a variety of punches, piledrivers, knockdowns, slams, and other moves (including signature finishing moves), and players can customize the rules and timing. Regrettably, the digitized wrestlers are sluggish and poorly animated, and sound effects are sparse, making for a boringly frustrating fighting experience.

WCW Wrestling was released in 1990, mere months after Ted Turner bought the National Wrestlin Alliance and changed its name to World Championship Wrestling, the game was developed by FCI. WCW Wrestling has 12 wrestlers in it, all of them have their own finishing moves. The wrestler list reads like a who?s who of the NWA, legends like ?The Nature Boy? Ric Flair, Ricky ?The Dragon? Steamboat, and Sting adorn the game. As do ?Dr. Death? Steve Williams, Lex Luger, Michael ?P.S.? Hayes, Mike Rotunda,Kevin Sullivan, Rick Steiner, the late, great ?Hot Stuff? Eddie Gilbert, and the Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal (who also adorn the game's cover art.) This game introduced a menu-based move selection system in which you chose what moves you'd like to use during a match. I really love this feature because it adds an element of originality that is lacking in today's games, plus, it can be considered the forerunner to the modern-day create a wrestler modes that are ever so popular.

WWF No Mercy was a wrestling game developed by AKI and published by THQ. Despite being released in late 2000, it is still considered the definitive wrestling simulator by many fans.
Choose from a variety of WWF superstars and participate in a number of matches including tournaments, ladder matches, steel cage matches, and the Royal Rumble.
The controls take some getting used to and the gameplay is slower than the arcade style of the SmackDown series, but this game provides a great experience for nearly any wrestling fan.

This 24-Meg sequel to 1993's WWF Royal Rumble features faster gameplay and twelve authentic wrestlers, each with different attributes: Razor Ramon, Lex Luger, 1-2-3 Kid, Doink, Diesel, Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart, Yokozuna, Brett Hart, The Undertaker, Luna Vachon, and Bam Bam Bigelow. Game modes include One-On-One, Tag Team, Bedlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and the Raw Endurance Match (where you take on six opponents one after another).
Up to four players can slug it out at once, which is a first for an WWF wrestling game, or you can challenge the computer on one of ten different difficulty levels. All of the featured wrestlers have their own theme music and added "mega-moves," which means you can pummel your opponent with Owen Hart's "Whirling Dirvish" or Diesel's "Caber Toss," among others. The Super Nintendo cartridge offers the same features and wrestlers included with the Genesis version.

WWF Royal Rumble features twelve pro wrestlers, each with his own special move, in a no-holds-barred fight to the finish. While five new wrestlers make their debut on the Super Nintendo version, gameplay has been left untouched from the Genesis title. Players can choose from Tatanka, Crush, Mr. Perfect, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Randy Savage, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna or Ted Dibiase in their bid to win the Championship Belt.
WWF Royal Rumble offers four different game modes: One-On-One, Tag Team, Triple Tag Team and the Royal Rumble -- where up to six wrestlers appear in the ring at once! You are also free to climb out of the ring, grab a chair to slam over an opponent's head, or use illegal moves such as chokeholds or eye-gouges. This 16-Meg cartridge also includes support for two players, so you can atomic-drop a friend in any of the four game modes.
