New Features added to Leader Board & Personal Ranking Pages

You can find your ranking page from your profile or in the list of links to the left of your post in the forum.

What's new:

• You now correctly Leader Board points for every game you have a score in. Previously you only received points for a top ten score.
• Some inaccuracies in your details on the right hand side of the Rankings page have been fixed.
• Only your top score in each game is counted. Previously if you had second and third place then you were ranked higher than someone that only had first place. Now if you have second and third then only your second place will count and therefor first place will outrank you.
• Your ranking page lists your best score and ranking for every game you have submitted a score in. This way you can find high scores that you lost or are close to winning.
• Your deleted scores are listed.
• Number of your world record scores are listed (this is still being worked on and not 100% accurate yet).
• View Leader Board for individual systems.

What's Old:

• Rankings page lists your first place scores and how long your high score has stood.
• The number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and top 10 scores you have.
• The number of distinct scores (games you have submitted scores in).
• Total number of scores submitted (if you submit multiple scores in one game then this number will go up but the distinct scores number will stay the same).
• Time you have spent on your submitted scores.
• Your favorite games.
• Your mastered games.
• The Leader Board shows your average place of your submitted scores.
• Your Leader Board score.

You receive the following Leader Board points for each of your best scores.

1st Place = 25 Points
2nd = 16
3rd = 11
4th = 8
5th = 7
6th = 6
7th = 5
8th = 4
9th = 3
10th = 2
Outside the top 10 = 1

Has this taken effect yet? Because my 1st/2nds/3rds are way too high and my points haven't dropped from losing the extra places yet.

Your 2nd and 3rds were and are correct. There was a bug with 1st places. I fixed it so your firsts are correct now too.

Getting this all to work meant I had to change how ties work. Previously if there was a tie then the fastest time was given first place. I had to change ties to be settled randomly.

The finish times are still saved. They just no longer being used as tie breakers. When I get more time (not anytime soon) I will rewrite it so that the fastest time is used as a tie breaker again and probably eventually list all ties as sharing first place.

Yes, the leader board and your personal rankings page only uses your best score in each game. The game's score page still displays all submitted scores.

Eventually (not anytime soon) the game's score page will probably display scores both ways - all submitted scores and only a player's best score.

Not sure if this is relevant or not but my personal best for Wardner (Coin-op) is stated as 3.29million, and the highest score is stated as a previously submitted 209k? This also takes away the "World Record" score from my stats (the P.B on this website is higher than the listed "World Record")

Yeah some scores seem to be wigging out. Flash games Bounce Back and Zoo Keeper are showing the incorrect score as 1st. I think I just got anounced the Bounce Back champion for a score much lower than the top score.

I am actually seeing that all over the place now. It seems it announces the correct User as being in first place but lists the lowest score they have on that title as being the high score. Weird.

I think the issues are fixed now. Let me know if you see any other problems. The system was written in 2006 and wasn't designed to be pulling the numbers the way I am so I am having to force a bunch of stuff. It needs to be rewritten from scratch but not enough time for that now.

That score was set on Jan 6 2012. Our World Records are still a work in progress. Once it is finished it will automatically catch things like that but for now it will not be perfect.

I love the page and how its set up, as well as seeing what games, I can try again and what my placement is in the games.

Uhm wanted to ask what the Deleted scores are for, are those ones that are Picture less, or ones with suspected farming?

@belmontzar: deleted scores are for all scores deleted for whatever reason, be it due to breaking a rule or simply an invalid entry such as no score on the screen shot.

Also they're for when an entire day's worth of scores got lost.
