Back on the saddle again
Yep, started a new single player world. Super heavily modded including a lot of super tech mods allowing nuclear reactors and the like.
I'm about three days in, just getting settled. Picture journal to start tomorrow.
Series goal:
1. Complete and utter desecration of everything natural.
2. Pipes! Pipes everywhere!
3. Glorious industrialization.
4. Become God.

You're gonna get blown up by a creeper and fall into lava from the blast, calling it right now.

Who says "back on the saddle again"? It's in the saddle. Like the song.
Carry on.

But you're not really in the saddle, you're on the saddle.

Re: Back on the saddle again
@DB: I know, just argueing semantics because I had no viable defense. My mind most likely mixed up the phrases "back in the saddle" and "back on the horse."

Re: Back on the saddle again
DN lives in one of those right side steering wheel countries? Or he delivers mail in a rural US area?
@Minecraft- I actually went looking for new servers to play on the other day. I'm starting with vanilla(ish) servers so my brother can join when he gets back online soon. He's not interested in downloading launchers. I was gonna try to find a cool modded server later. I guess I'm back side saddling the horse too.

Re: Back on the saddle again
I'm kinda getting bored with TF2 and I've been thinking about giving the Swedish
Block Simulator a whorl again.
I'll look for some servers when I can.

Re: Back on the saddle again
Maybe tonight you can join me when I try the two servers I found? I was mainly hoping to log on and judge their community/buildings to see if they're worth our time.

Re: Back on the saddle again
Applied Energistics meteor crash site (there are three within a few hundred blocks of me):
One of the three very close derp villages I took over:
Just a modest smeltery to begins with:
Today I spent an hour caving, another hour exploring the Nether, and a third hour exploring the overworld (I'll include a map next time).
So far I've just focused on Tinker's Construct. TC is a great way to make tools for the early game. I've got a real nice cutlass, pick, and decent mattock out of it.

All I can think about is how I want to put walls around your village and clean it up. I'm an addict, I need help.

Relax, I've stored all the villagers in safari nets. They're nice and safe in a chest.

Re: Back on the saddle again
Nothing exciting or fancy today. Did a shit ton of caving to gather materials. First two pictures were from one cave which isn't even close to cleared yet.
This is the world map. You can see all three villages on it. The black circles are volcanoes. The grey circles are meteor sites. The black squares are Thaumcraft related.
After looking at the world map it looks like there's a fourth village the very far east. You can see a road and some farms at the very edge of the map. I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Re: Back on the saddle again
Yeah looks like a partially swampy village. Also SW of the sun icon up top there appears to be some kind of road or bridge. Doubt it's a village though unless it's hidden by trees.
