@JG Honestly It's not gonna matter much how great your skills are. I'm going to be implementing a lot of changes soon and I don't mind answering questions. I'm making a small admin staff for that purpose, to help people who have questions. I'm sure the rest of RU has no problems helping you too.

Well I managed to get online last night but I think MC killed my older PC. Turned it on today and it won't work right anymore.

So it was fun while it lasted and I'll be back on eventually.

Thanks me too. Atm I'm using a really outdated laptop with a broken screen(plugged into my monitor) so MC is completely out of the question. At least I got to try the update a little before it died. Btw my little house has some stuff in it, feel free to use it. It's the unfinished stone/brick house in the middle of the NPC town.

I keep getting this error when trying to Join the server: "The Server Responded with an Invalid Server Key". Only gets fixed when I reboot, so I get a bit discouraged from playing...

Sumo and I both got that error too but it works if you try again a few times. I don't think you need to reboot.

It's something everyone's been getting since 1.0.0 got put out. I get it sometimes when i try to log in via localhost.

Not sure if any of these plugins (well, technically features) have been suggested yet:

- Warps (can make public warps, and can also privatize self-made warps)
- /sethome (at least that way I can always get back to my house
- /tp (So it's much easier to visit other players)

I personally don't like having those options because it kills the challenge of the game. If the majority wants it I won't stomp my feet about it but I'd prefer less console commands.

@Era Those addons won't be implemented. Anything that gives special commands to general users probably isin't going to even be considered, no offense. Also this idea was brought up for the warps before, as a passing mention (I already plan on using a mod capable of this, but for other reasons) and everyone declined, saying they wanted to make their own transportation systems. Beds are your built in /sethome. And TP could be abused easy. Keep in mind this is not always going to be just us. I do plan to make this public. I trust everyone here but I do not trust the randoms that will show up.

I've been trying several times each night.
Had success a couple of nights ago and was with Katz, who was kindly showing me the way to Tenser's place .. when it got laggy and I tried to reset - and got kicked off again.

Apparently this is a Mojang/Notch problem so I'm certain they're aware of it and are trying to fix it.

In the meantime that world will have far fewer Creeper craters in my absence, so maybe try to think of it that way.

I only meant their apparent love of the skin my daughter applied to my sprite, SH.
It's an ongoing joke since back on DB's server that they always seem to target me over other players.
This is why I assume it could be the skin.

If I'm on Guardian's server while you are sometime you'll see the message 'backfromvancouv blew up' a lot.

I would like to suggest a mod when/if available. One that would change it so the compass points to your specific spawn [a.k.a. bed] and not 0/0.

I'll take a look into finding that mod if it exists. I'm unsure if it does but if it does I'll implement it since that is a useful tool. Also I'm debating getting an external hard drive to store the server on, specifically so I can bring back Dynamic Map.

MC is very intensive on the I/O system, due to fetching map data and saving constantly. And external drive probably won't cut it. Get the cheapest internal hard drive you can, either 320GB or 500GB (both are probably overkill for MC but smaller sizes are hard to find now).

I'm not terribly worried about it as i have an eSATA port, Also Internal HD is out of the question as I'm on a laptop. if nothing else I would move everything to my external and let minecraft have the internal.
