List of beat em ups / fighting games

Since there is a thread with the RPGs on RU
I decided to make one with my favorite genres
beat em ups and fighting games.

Since there's so many and I haven't played them all
if you found some games I missed please post it and I will add it to the main list.

PS: I know there are just a few ( the basics, the most known and I am still missing a few big games) but I will add some games every day I can until I have all of them here.

The 1st game I played (or tried to anyway) was Samurai Showdown. Its the main reason I went out and bought a controller for my computer lol

They should make Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter. Even though it's EXTREMELY
unlikely it would rock.

(And I'd get to punch Dan in the you know where as Johnny Cage)

Well there have been the Mugen fighting games. They take every character from every fighting game and throw them all together. Its not offical or anything but some of the fights are fun to watch.

It's probably more likely than you think. Midway recently filed for bankruptcy and the company was sold off to WB(not winnebagel, well maybe not) and other companies.

@Neko- I hope you don't mind that I fixed up your post to make it easier to read. If I remember right you're still getting used to English?
It wasn't that bad but you have to capitalize the first letter of each sentence and put punctuation(period, question mark, ect) at the end. Also when you refer to yourself as I it needs to be capitalized as well.
Other than that the post is cool, I really like the pictures.

Definitely not me on this one bro, although I hope good things will happen with this acquisition. It would be nice to see MK in hands that can take it cool new directions, and hopefully get things like films and other properties out there again.

I would be super happy if they managed to do an MK vs Street Fighter game. That would rock! I would love to have Johnny Cage vs Ken matches.

Bagel would be my first choice as head CEO of midway.

I agree that Winnebagel would probably run Midway better than the CEO at the time Midway filed. I saw some pretty awesome games up in the list and I'm a Final Fight person.

If I was head of Midway, I would start by making the MK series hard core again, and bring back brutalities for everyone!

I never could figure out why Midway didn't develop some of their mainstay franchises more. They really seemed to lose their way towards the end.
