Somewhere to download PC games?

I know it's not illegal if you already own the game. Does anyone know where I could do this? All 3 red alert discs are too scratched up to play, I can't find Age of Empires 2 and Steam is a bunch of jerks and won't let me re-install Half-life to another computer since I put it on my Grandpas laptop temporarily years ago and now I can't even play it there since he had a system restore.

Anyone know where I could find these? Red Alert and Age of Empires 2 are the only ones I really want since I have Half Life on Dreamcast but is there sites for this? These are relatively old games (90's) and all I ever find is demos.

Re: Somewhere to download PC games?

If you own it, it is still illegal to download the games, as you are not paying for them at the time you got them. If that was the case, then anyone could claim they already owned the game at one point.

On topic: Are you willing to use torrents? It is much easier to find these things on torrent sites. I can help you either way, but I need to know.

Re: Somewhere to download PC games?

torrents are messed up and I don't know how to use them. I've heard it's okay to make back-ups of games if you own them several times.

Re: Somewhere to download PC games?

You've heard? Sites that let you download games also tell you that downloading games is legal, if you delete the file after 24 hours, that is also a lie.

Torrents are messed up, but easy to use. You just need a bit torrent client, which you use to do the real downloading. I hate having to wait for the peer to peer network to set up though, so I don't use them much.

I didn't look for the specific games, but this site might have them.
