Emulation

I recently found four of my old Saturn DIscs(virtua Fighter 2, Daytona Usa, Nights into dreams, and Bug Too), however i cannot seem to figure out how to play them through my PC. If anyone has any info on this could you hwelp me out. Nothing I have tried has worked, but I am rather new at this so it could just be operator error. The comp reads them just fine, so I figure the discs must still work. Any inof at all would be helpful.

Re: Emulation

1. You need to have a Saturn emulator.
http://web.archive.org/web/200408040.../downloads.htm
Saturnin
Satourne
Google
2. You need a Saturn Bios. Google
3. You need to have a fast computer with a good 3D graphics card.
4. Probably easier to try getting a simple system like NES to work on your own before jumping into more modern emulation.

Re: Emulation

That emulator looks ancient and abandoned, he should try SSF. Apparently it's the most accurate Saturn emulator out there. It also works with the real Saturn disks if you put them in your computer.

You will need your own copy of the Saturn BIOS though.

This link goes to a listing of all of their releases, the latest one is at the bottom. It goes to a Japanese page so the title of it may look wierd depending on your browser.

Note that I have never used this emulator.

Re: Emulation

I tried using the SSF emulator and the Satourne emulater and the Yabause emulator. I got The ya to work with a Disk but it lagged so bad I couldnt play. The satourne is supposedly the best from what i have been reading but I couldnt figure out how to work it. SSF sdays it performs an illegal operation when I try running the exe. I do appreciate everyones help here and I think eventually I'll be able to figure it out.
@Kong, I get my nintendo fix here or I would try that. Hell I spend ninety percent of my day here so I really wouldnt need that. Thank you very much though.
I have Saturn Bios already but i just really cant figure out how to use Satourne or why ssf wont play.

Try using an older version, just work your way up from the bottom until you find one that works.

Also, the Saturn is a pretty complex piece of hardware, emulation of it will require a very good computer.

Point wasn't to get a fix, it was to get practice. Saturn is complex and should not be the first emulator you try to run.
