RU youtube gameplay videos

Anyone really tried this? I have quite a bit. I realise that we have another thread similar to this. But I thought this would be a neat thread for everyone to post and showcase all of their RU vids. I've made quite a few, and I usually don't have many issues with speed or anything like that now, with the addition of my controller. I've really gotten into it with a DKC Play through:

Just to showcase the first 2 videos. First one, I still had a keyboard. But the second and third videos were controller (you can probably tell the difference).

I also had an unfinished top gear 3000 playthrough that was sucking because I was using the wrong setting and the game was slow when I was playing it. I made a quick run of SOS on my keyboard the other day too:

So, if you have any examples of your recordings of RU games. Do share, it's interesting to see. Any questions, I've experimented with it quite a bit myself to find the best way to record it. Most times sound is disabled when recording, actually every time, but the sound shows up when I post the videos. Share away!

If I knew how to do this, I would make tons of videos. I tried making gameplay videos on JNES, but it wouldn't work.

google search camstudio it is screen recording software. install and record its that easy.

I know, and I almost had the bagel beat in a contest with that game. Bagel beat me by like 14 seconds, and GG by like 2 seconds. I beat bluej by 30 seconds or something. It's a fun game, and I plan to do more videos on it that involve speed runs with the other characters and saving people. Oasis, wow. You're here!

I just made a test video to see if I recorded off of Visualboy Advance correctly, and I did!

On RU, I'm fairly sure only SNES and GBwork for making videos.

oh, oasis. You're using that unregistered hypercam thing? I'm using RU's actual recording through arcade ox by clicking file > record avi > save it wherever > select microsoft video 1 > put compression quality anywhere from 50% to 100% (100% percent only gets you 3 minutes of video before it cuts you off so you have to combine).

I have upgraded from hypercam to cam studio. its easier to use and you dont have that annoying hypercam tag.
the only problem cam studio has given my is in videos over an hour and a half.

that last sentence doesn't make sense. I would use one of those if I were commentating, but I have no headset. Happy with the controller I bought recently. Let's see if I can find a pic of it...

That's it pretty much, the little white area on the top is black on my controller. It has 2 "L" & "R" buttons, and everthing works fine. Only, mine doesn't have the grips so my hands sweat for whatever reason. Had to wrap Kleenex around it, lol.

I have the video file recorded from the site, but will it port into youtube?

Also, the score system of that game really needs to be changed. It should go by final score, not by time left.

this has been argued before. Time is more credible since there is many, many possible score outcomes avoiding ties. Besides, I can save like 12 people anyways.

Use that mode if you didn't. Go to windows movie maker or whatever movie making system you have. "Click Import video. import your AVi file > Drag it to the timeline > Add whatever title credits you want > Finally, go to file and click "Save movie file" > follow instructions > upload finished file to youtube.

Well that's a bummer, I can not use movie maker.

I think it should go by score since I don't think that all the survivors have actually been discovered. I know that the highest score known is 41 but I think it can go higher still.

Anyways, I'm going to bring this up, can anyone tell me if the sound works for it? I'm sure you could try save it to your own folder for ActiveOX if anyone would be so kind.

@DN. Most Windows computers come with Movie Maker preinstalled. He was just saying use movie maker so you can add text or other stuff to the video. Movie Maker is not a necessary step.
