Die Hard Trilogy

I love the Die Hard trilogy [Live Free or Die Hard sucked], in my opinion it is the granddaddy of all action movies, they've everything, action, comedy, swearing, blowing stuff up! THE WORKS!

Now I remember when I was in Toys R Us I saw on the shelf; DIE HARD TRILOGY and without hesitation I bought it... best 40 bucks [I believe it was, don't ask] I ever spent! I went home, popped it in my PlayStation and I was hooked! Words couldn't describe how I felt about it but I am gonna give my review;

First off

DIE HARD: You play as John McClane [durr!] and you go around shooting terrorists, saving hostages in Nakatomi Plaza where the movie took place. It's not like the original NES version *shudders* No instead it's a nice 3D environment, you go around shooting terrorists and collecting all assortments of weaponry ranging from pistols to shotguns to bazookas!!! After every terrorist is killed and every hostage is rescued then a bomb sequence activates and you have an allotted time to haul your butt to the elevator or else you're toast.

DIE HARD 2: DIE HARDER: My favorite of the trilogy [both movie and game] The game centers around John McClane [duh!] and he has to save hostages in Dulles International Airport as well as get a landing light for the planes circling the airport..one of which is carrying his wife Holly. This game is a "Rail Shooter" meaning that you have no control over the characters movements, you only shoot [an example of a rail shooter would be "Time Crisis"] This one is epic, especially the music in the first level...so suspenseful, you feel like John McClane himself, also this was compatible with a light gun or whatever it was called which made it more realistic

DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE: Another great installment in the trilogy [movie and game] Where John has to save NY from a mad bomber named Simon Gruber [hmmm...Gruber...Where have I heard that before?] Anyways this is a driving sequence where you and John's partner in the game [and movie] Zeus must go around NY defusing bombs. In this game HEED ZEUS' ADVICE!!! He tells you where to go to defuse the bombs, also you're racing against the timer so you better get your rear in gear and put the pedal to the metal. Also for added fun, drive in first person and hit a pedestrian, you will see their blood on the windshield and the wipers wiping it off, it is HILARIOUS!!!

RATINGS:

Graphics- 3/5
Playstation graphics, nothing more, nothing less

Sound- 5/5
The music is amazingly good, from when I mentioned Die Hard 2's epic first level music to every level in the game's music, the voice overs; just cheap voice actors, the sound effects are really good

Replay Value- VERY HIGH
If you're a die hard fan of Die Hard [no pun intended] then this game will keep you busy for a while

Challenge- 4/5
Sure it gets kinda repetitive but the AI ain't all that dumb and has each level progresses the game gets significantly tougher

Overall- 4.5/5
A very good game based off of a classic trilogy [Live Free or Die Hard doesn't even count because it was so bad!] I say it's really worth playing and I'm not lying, it's fun and entertaining. I recommend it!!!
