Retrouprising on PS3

YDL install (need other OS option)
installed the java power pc libraries

Runs choppy. Gonna use a USB key for swap memory next.

What did you try? You should have better luck with the Java Lite Mode than with Full Mode. ArcadeOX will not work on PS3. If you could get Windows CE to run on it I would be currious of the results. I doubt it would work but worth a try.

Tried some NES, And SEGA GENESIS (used fast and full java).
Running emulators on YDL only works well by using low video output settings on the emulator, and using a program called SCALER to magnify the other wise smaller window. The results are good.

So the fact that emulation on ps3 linux is choppy to begin with, I'm not surprised the java is a shacky too. If there is a setting to output the emulation to an itty bitty window, from there the PS3 users can us SPE SCALER to run the games virtual fullscreen.

Awsome news and now a good reason for me to spring for a ps3, not quite good enough but it's in the lead for reasons.

I love mt PS3. I think itd the best piece of electronics I own next to my computer. If I could play RU games on it my life would be complete!

I love the FREE PSN access. Playstation home is fun and has some very cool mini games you can play and Sony is starting to get better game titles every day. Oh and the system runs a lot quieter then the X Box does which is a plus for a long night of gaming.
