Cheetah Men II

Cheetah Men II was produced by active enterprises in 1992, a sequel to Cheetah Men I on the Action 52. Story is, Dr. Morbus is back with a new sub-human called the Apeman, he wants to destroy the Cheetah Men for ruining his plans. His plans were to make mutated animals and rule the world, but the Cheetah men were wise to his plans and escaped. After the first defeat he makes Ape Man, who, without hacks is technically the final boss in the game. you can control 3 Cheetah Men, Aries, Apollo, and Hercules. Aries uses a Bow and arrow, while Apollo uses swords, and Hercules uses his strength and fists. You first start out as Aries, and then you're already at a disadvantage! There's giant insects you CANNOT kill with him. Try to do the Mario and jump on them is futile, you just make yourself lose precious life, which is dearly important in all levels in this game. Don't think about doing a no hit speed run, it's impossible seeing theres this cliff where a bug is at that you will always hit. ANYWAYS, after you defeat Dr. Morbus.. lemme back up. First of all why is the main Villains like backwards in this game? It's Dr. Morbus, then Apeman, then his right hand man. Seems off. But lemme get back to the game. Morbus is easy he just goes back and forth just jump and shoot. Then you can be Hercules, the beasty one. Hercules can actually kill the bugs on the ground without losing health, and he is very cheap. How you say? By attacking in mid air, you can jump again thus skipping 99% of the level. Cheap eh? When you face the Apeman who looks like this giant turd do not use the bug to jump over him because if you do.. he will just disappear and you "technically" beat the game. But wait.. where's Apollo? Welp, Cheetah Men 2 was never released, and it had a big ol bug, You couldn't go to level 5 or 6 thus preventing you from being top cheetah. To top it, people hacked their way into it to only find these glitchy levels. He has the same jumping bug as Hercules as well. Like Apeman like henchman too, he too disappears, Cheetah Men 2 has no ending!!!

So, Active Enterprises was sure ready to make a cash cow of the Cheetah Men, they made a Comic Book of them, EVEN TOYS. But the Toys, much like the game was never released.

GFX - 2 the bug graphics suck, the Cheetah men are the only good gfx in this. Apeman as I said looks like a giant turd.

Sound - 5 Not only is the theme a very popular song in Japan it rocks to the level of a Mario tune. Best thing about this game.

Replay Value - 2 Not much. Unless you wanna try to get to level 5/6 without hacking.

Challenge - 4 Due to the noticable bugs in the game, like instant death if you jump too high, bugs oyu cannot kill, and bugs you always get hurt by.. Yeah very hard.

Overall, I like the game, but I still give it a 2. If they could make a hack of this and make it right I would be sure to play it.

Decent job, could've been longer. But you had the right criteria, and length isn't neccesarily needed. Good, interesting description, Tails. Maybe some pics or videos to back up your facts are in order?

Yeah, apart from the catchy music, this game isn't worth it.

I find it ironic that Action 52 and Cheetahmen 2 were made by the laziest game company ever, which was named Active Enterprises.
