Konami Coin-op game?

I am having the hardest time remembering this game. I am almost certain it is a Konami Coin-Op release, and it is most definitely on this site. I know this because I used to have an unimpressive high score that was recently defeated. My memory tells me it was Dojah who beat it, so maybe he can help refresh my memory.

This game is played from a Top-down perspective. You start out as a guy in a sandy floor/jungle environment, with enemies that pop up out of holes in the ground. You have a gun and grenades. Some guys are hidden in circles of trees that require you to throw the grenades to kill them. I think the guys are kind of mutants of some sort.

It's not much to go on, but it's all I can remember. I want to say the game's name is similar to "Gain Ground", but I know that's not the game. In some regardss it is similar to Gain Ground, for what that's worth.

No. You don't take a northern course in this game. It's more of an easterly course.
Graphics are better than Commando's too.

This game is pretty obscure. It's not a commonly known game, at least to me it wasn't.

Not it. Thanks anyway, Sabby. I decided to go the tedious route and scan through every game in coin-op, looking for games I'd posted a score but didn't have the high score.

It took me all the way up until the T's (should've scanned backwards!), but I found it:
The game is TRICK TRAP Retro Uprising - Arcade - Trick Trap (World?)

Not sure if anyone else will like it, but I found it to be entertaining. And Dojah, your high score is going down!

My man Dojah has the high score right now, but only because I haven't had the energy to take it back! Feel free to give it a shot.
