Nintendo Power

Now really there's not much I can say that the AVGN hasn't but I'll take a crack at it!

As a kid, you really expected anything in the mail, you'd hear your folks say "Bills, bills, crap, junk, bills and more bills" but then that one magical day where you parents get their mail, there it was *fanfare please* NINTENDO POWER!!! Once your parents handed it to you it was like you were in a different world, you saw maps, cheats, jokes, trading cards EVERYTHING! This was your one source for all your gaming needs! Now this was essential as the internet wasn't around in them days [AND YES KIDS YOU HEARD ME NO INTERNET]

Anyways Nintendo Power answered some of gaming's toughest questions, like in Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, when you needed the red crystal and you had to crouch down in the beginning of the level in order to summon a tornado...how cryptic, but Nintendo Power held our hand and guided us through it.

Now my biggest gripe with Nintendo Power were the posters...God how I hated them, you tried your best to get them out with any or as little damage as possible but to no avail, they always got torn. I remember there was this Donkey Kong Iron on T-Shirt thing, I have it on a shirt and it's still there, how it survived all the times I washed it...well I just turned my shirt inside out and dry it on low heat.

There was also the Q&A Section, a jokes section and some other ads and stuff.

In the end Nintendo Power was the bomb and still rightfully is, if you had Nintendo Power you were on top of the gaming world! While others struggled to beat a game, you were "Oh PSHAW I have the power... NINTENDO POWER...power...power...power...power"

I Still have a lot of mine, and I have the ones above... AND NO THEY'RE NOT FOR SALE NOR WILL THEY EVER WILL BE!!! They're precious childhood memories for God's sake.

I did try and shrink those 2 real huge ones down to size, I honestly don't know what went wrong.
