Zed or Zee?
this is an intresting debate in the process. All the time, in America, people ask me "wtf is a 'zed'?" and i always forget that it is apparently pronounced "zee" in America. i just wanna see other's opinion.
for me its: Zed!

Re: Zed or Z?
It used to be Zee for me, but upon hearing of this, I shall now teach myself to say Zed.

Re: Zed or Z?
As far as I know it's just Z in all English speaking languages. I think calling it Zed sounds stupid to be honest, doesn't seem to fit.
Btw is this really a debate?

No, we were forced by schools to say zed when we first started singing the alphabet.

Re: Zed or Z?
If you use 'zed', how would you pronounce 'zoo'?
'Zed-oo'?

Re: Zed or Z?
from wiki:
In most English-speaking countries, such as [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada"]Canada[/ame] or even [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England"]England[/ame] itself, it is said 'Zed', making it the more proper pronunciation.

Re: Zed or Z?
That's fine and all but in spoken English it makes no sense. I've never heard anyone use it and that includes Brits.

Is it just the letter, as in "ex huy zed(xyz)" or is it for words too like "zedebra(zebra)"?
