Are you certain that the entire CD is the same style/flavor?
I have found songs I thought were good message/vibe by an artist I wasn't familiar with and have been so disappointed to find out the majority of the rest of their songs were completely different.
(for instance if the remainder of the songs on this CD were typical gangsta rap- and don't get me wrong, I like some of that stuff too, just sayin')

I thought I should mention it before you shell out your $25-30 (Can.) for it.

@Joe: I have Brother Ali's entire catalog and love it all. That and I also don't have to pay money for the record, I get it free. I am on the street team for the record label.

I am glad you enjoy it. In my opinion it is his worst album. Not that I think it is bad, but his other two full lengths are just incredible records.

So yeah, get his older stuff. Shadows on the Sun and Undisputed Truth are two of my favorite records of all time.

Also, come to the Brother Ali show in Lawrence. It's on Sunday. And we could kick it.

Id love to kick it man but I cant make the show. I've got to work that night and cant get off (since I just took a two week vacation).

I missed his last show in Lawrence with Tech N9ne , Ghostface Killah, the Roots Allstars and Rakim (who didnt show up)but I heard it was dope.

Its all good man...well do that for sure. I was listening to KJHK out of lawrence and they were giving away tickets to the 1st caller. I was this close to calling in lol.

I'm not sure. Abstract Rude was in KS last month and I really wanted to go, but I was way too broke.
