Confused
:whatthe:
I was wondering, Everyvideogame.com and Retrouprising.com.... any connection?
Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm still new here. I tried looking around on both sites but I didn't see much about it besides some similar named posters and of course all the old school games.
So yeah I'm confused.
If it helps I like this site alot more than EVG.

They both use NES cafe for their emulators but I don't think they are related.
And this site is way better better.

Some of the mods and a couple of the forum members are the same. And as Tagen said both use NEScafe as the NES emulator.

So there's no connection between the two sites?
Are the sites friendly with each other?
Who has more games?(Wondering since I don't think I can count all the games on both).
I was linked to EVG from another forum, at first I loved it, then a poster on there(Tenser maybe?) mentioned this site and I was hooked.
Sorry to ask alot of questions, just seems wierd.

Some of us visit/mod on both sites. This site has more games that EVG does. And, since most of us are in both places, the sites are friendly with each other.

I think many of us started on EVG. There was a link to EVG from a local radio station where I live by a DJ who is really into gaming, that's how I found it.
After going through their forums, there was a mention of a site called onVGP (mostly for those of us who wanted to play Mario or Zelda games). Eventually onVGP (due to serious technical difficulties) became what you see today as Retro Uprising.
I very rarely go to EVG anymore (I couldn't tell you when I last logged on) due to my loyalty to this site. While I was writing this post I checked out EVG and noticed this ( link to something pretty cool for me, still second after all this time:cool

You're evil twin He seemed a bit calmer and nicer if I remember correctly, but like I said, it's been a while since I been to EVG.

If both twins are evil, I think you just call them twins.

Misunderstood?
One more question, are there more NES games and/or systems being added down the line? Not that I'm complaining, I am impressed with the current collections. Just curious if there are plans for new content ect ect.

Yes and yes. Kong is always working on expanding in one form or another. We're looking at expanding the NES library an extra 40 to 67 games. Extra systems are always on the horizon. I wont go into any details so don't bother asking. That's for Kong to decide.

probabbly gonna get a few comnents about this, but I actually like EVG better, it's the first websit where i tried gettinig involved in the forum. (someone once told me RU was originally a site evg made after the legal troubles at evg but then the server screwed up so he gave it to someone else)

It depends on what you're looking for.
EVG is a forum site with a splattering of games on the side.
RU is a gaming site with a forum on the side.

Ok I got another question then, is there a notice about when new stuff is added?
I'm trying to play your NES games that aren't played much and get some decent scores up there.
Oh and thanks for the prompt replies, makes it feel like you guys really care about the site.

Retro gets way more attention than EVG does, more upgrades, better board, ect, we could always use more quality posters here at Retro, so feel free to make these forums better.

No. I used to do that but I suck at it. I am really bad with time and schedules and planning things out. Besides surprises are good.
Google likes that site better. It does awesome in search engines. We do not. Searching for nearly any NES game will give you EVG in the top ten results. :bully:

What I meant was a notice on the front page when the content is actually added, not before. Surprise me please, just let me in on the surprise so I don't miss it.
I'm telling everyone I know about this site, I got a few new people joining soon...I think.
