Robert A. Heinlein is a great author. I liked Stranger in a strange land a lot and several other ones were good. He usually makes an interesting story.

Also, I heard the Halo books are pretty good.

Yeah, Heinlein was really good. The Cat Who Walks Through Walls and Starship Troopers were also great.

Another favorite SciFi writer of mine was Harry Harrison. I love the Stainless Steel Rat books.

i did read one halo book because i got it for christmas and i felt obligated. it was ok. written on an 8th grade reading level.

i would imagine, the only i read did not, a prequel to halo:combat evolved. there were other spartan characters.
