Nearly finished Gr. 8
I have had a hard time motivating myself with school lately but I've been so close to being done, And now I have finally and truly finished mat and science... nearly, I have one lesson left in each.
In any case I am finished L.A. and the final for L.A. But I am writing my Science and math finals next week and then it's hello 4 months of summer and back to regular school next year

do yourself the favor, intentionally fail your class, cause next is high school, which is one step closer to the real world, and the real world sucks.

Re: Nearly finished Gr. 8
umm, now that I'm not moving I still have one year of jr. high left. High school is grade 9-12 in b.c. and it's 10-12 here.
and somedude my parents pulled me out of school for the year so that I didn't have to deal with drugs, Big drug problem here. In any case they found the only option is to put me in the catholic school

Re: Nearly finished Gr. 8
That's what you think. If kids wanna do drugs they'll do drugs. The only difference is in religious schools they pretend it doesn't happen to thier kids.

Re: Nearly finished Gr. 8
Yeah Tenser I'm not checking my posts like I normally do, excuse my minor typos.
Cameron, I wasn't saying you want to do drugs I'm just commenting on how stupid it is to send a kid to religious school to shelter them from real life problems. How are you going to cope with the real world once you get exposed to it?
Btw why did peer pressure even come up? If people are pressuring you to do anything you don't wanna then they are not your friends. That goes for more than just drugs.
@Somedude, I went to summer school once. It helped me pass my failing class. I don't see why that's bad. You seem like you need some more education, perhaps your school should've forced you to go to summer school to catch up. But seeing how you are so serious about improving yourself I can see that would've been a wasted effort.

Re: Nearly finished Gr. 8
I think 7th & 8th grade are some of the best years of your life. It is a great age. You should watch Stand by Me and read some Calvin and Hobbes and cherish this year. From here on out everyone is just going to try to convince you that everything is more and more important and serious.

I do agree that doing drugs is more often than not a bad idea but I wanted to point out there is a big difference in never have and never will. And the first difference is you never know if you never will.
And I think it is important to understand not all drugs are equal. Saying you will never smoke pot is all fine and dandy. Never smoking crystal meth is where you start keeping score.
For the youngsters that have a hard time following that. I am saying smoking pot and drinking might not be a great idea. Harder drugs are definitely a bad idea.

True. If they want you to change then ditch them. Find someone else. Better to be lonely than to be fake. You can find friends later. If you lose yourself you probably won't come back.
