Just a note: I felt the need to come back and edit this review after making my top gear rally review, it was lacking and short. Enjoy.
Okay, Here is the third installment of the top gear series: Top Gear 3000.
The Game is absolutely wonderful and I couldn't speak of a game with more speed than this one, I know it's probably off but by the end of the the hard races your car is apparently reaching 700 Km/H. Like I've said, that's a stretch, no way you are going that fast, but asides from that, that is the headline of the game: "Speed"

Video note:^^^^ That is only like level 6 of the game out of like 70 so it's not to fast yet, but look at the change in that from the original VVVV

Video Note: Well, okay, it's not much of a change, it's top gear, it owns!
In top gear 3000, You're given the option to play by yourself through story on Easy, Hard or Medium. You can also play through story with a second player, surprisingly the second player can be another person or an AI player(Not something you see much) I personally find this player 2 AI thing neat, but very frustrating. The AI player gets every upgrade you buy and is always going to beat you pretty much
Top Gear 3000 is also one of the few games on the super nintendo to support multi-tap play, yes the snes had a multi-tap, but it was only supported in like 19 games or something like that.
In the 4 player mode, you can play with 1-4 players, but there will always be a four way split screen and only four racers.(story has 20 racers including you). It is a neat feature but it's just something for a little contest, it has about 16 races seperate from story that just pits you against the other three racers only unlike story, you can't get eliminated. joy!
along the way of the story mode of the game, you get a purchase screen, much like in offroad where you can purchase upgrades for your vehicle, and along the way, you get even more upgrades added for purchase.
Such sections for items you can buy are Paint(Free), engine, tires, armor, gearbox & boost. These are used to generally alter your car and the AI has a set pattern they move along for purchases so stay ahead of them with technology, and you are good.
Top Gear 3000 also feature in game items you can unlock as you go and purchase, you start out with a booster, then you get a jump device, an attractor device, an infared ray & finally a warp device, you can cycle through these using "L" & "R"
One last point I have to make for this is the charger mats, you come along flashing Red & Blue mats throughout each level, one charges your car battery and the other charges your armor, often times, you have to slow down on the battery mat to fill your meter fully.
Sound is the last thing we will visit as always, the sound is awesome, one of my favourite game soundtracks.
Now, For your viewing pleasure, I present you the music.
