The original Xbox
I was wondering a few questions.
Can I utilize any sort of better picture setting if I plug it into an HD tv? There does not seem to be HDMI cables for it.
Also, what internet capabilities do I have to play with ? Mine isn't modded. I figure XBOX live isn't worth buying at this point in time, but can I do anything else ? Network it with my computer ? It would be nice to grab the mp3s I ripped , back up my saved games, etc.
Mine isn't modded btw

Re: The original Xbox
I don't know much about the old Xbox, when I had it I just played it offline on a normal TV. I'd suggest spending 200-300$ and just get a new one.

Re: The original Xbox
I have an original Xbox and the 360, and I have to say both are great systems. I have found that some of my original Xbox games don't play on the 360, so I think it's worth having both.
As far as HDMI, I don't think Xbox does this, but I think some games can go up to 720P is component cables are used.

Re: The original Xbox
Is it really old? My original Xbox is starting to crash once in awhile now, but it's about 8 years old I think. I am going to probably try to replace mine soon. I see used ones at Gamestop for about $49.99 USD.

That's sad about your old dog, but I'm glad the new one is working out.

Re: The original Xbox
If you get HD AV pack, you can connect your original xbox to an hd tv. once you do that you need to go into your system settings and set the correct video controls for your xbox, make sure it is set for 480, 720, or 1080
the hd av packs are selling for about 15 bucks on ebay.
