Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
Looks interesting, I might get Pikmin eventually since I missed it the first time. I wonder if the Wii version will be worth the extra money though if I could find it used?

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
They say the Metroid one is worth it. I've also read that the Power Tennis one is actually worse with the new control. :P

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
Pikmin one seems lame. Wii controls don't benefit that game.
Mario Tennis seemed like a good idea. Too bad they couldn't make it work.
I don't like Metroid, so my opinion on that one doesn't matter.
Cashing in by rereleasing games that aren't very old yet is lame.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Put that energy into new games.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
For real. I thought the Mario Tennis thing was a NEW Mario Tennis game, and I got excited. Then I learned it was a port and got sad.
Supposedly they ARE working on a new Pikmin. And I do love Pikmin. I just don't see the point of making Pikmin 1 on Wii. The gameplay doesn't benefit from motion controls.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
I loved pikmin, But my brother sold it.
I really don't see the point in this, You can just go to a pawn shop and buy the games for $10 each, And play them on the gamecube that is installed into your wii.
Real simple.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
The new play control pikmin is only $30. The three things that were added were the new play control, a save feature, and a widescreen format.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
Pikmin didn't have a save feature? Was it released in the early 80s or something? I don't get how that's even possible nowdays.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
Pikmin definitely had a save feature. New play control is worthless if you ask me. The widescreen format is appealing, but not for 30 bucks...
Plus Pikmin is not even close to as awesome as Pikmin 2.

Re: Gamecube games get a New Play Control
I think the main idea is to offer it to all the massive amounts of Wii owners who didn't own a GC.
I misread the article on the game. What they did was changed the save feature.

Or, more dramatically, if you made it all the way to the final day and realized you just wouldn't be able to complete the title, you could go back to the point when it all went wrong for you -- say, Day 16 -- and start fresh. It's a welcomed inclusion, but a forewarning: you've got three total save slots, so use them all -- if you journey backward to an already-played day, it'll start there and overwrite the progress you've made since.

I didn't really play Pikmin but that new save feature sounds cool.

i disagree, the save feature may be nice but i takes away from the difficulty of the game, to challenge the player, also for the controls thats worthless, i mean if you haven't altered the controls your self by hacking your wii you don't deserve the ne controls.

I wouldn't mind seeing resident evil get the same treatment.
