360 reccomendations
well in any case, I've decided to save my money for a 360, as much as I hate microsoft, I need some first person shooter games, and wii just can't provide any good shooters, now I know nothing about good games on the 360, so I'll need some suggestions, I am already all for getting timesplitters 4, that is a for sure, I am going to get that one no matter what, so I'll need some suggestions, games like timesplitters would make great suggestions ;D my list so far;
TimeSplitters 4
see, so I'll need some suggestions, and I won't be getting live, since it costs money, I'll just stick to the wii for online play, suggestions please,
And if anyone knows how to prevent the red ring of death, I would like to know, thanks

Re: 360 reccomendations
First person shooters:
Call Of Duty 4
Left 4 Dead (OK on your own, fun with friends)
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (Fun on your own, even better with a friend)
Other awesome games:
Dead Space (survival/horror/3rd person shooteR)
Viva Pinata (strategy)
Street Fighter IV (fighting)
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (puzzle/platform/driving)
Fallout 3 (action/rpg)
There are a ton of awesome games for 360, but I figure that's a good start.

Re: 360 reccomendations
If you don't get a gold account and Shadowrun you're missing out. No other FPS compares to it's awesomeness. It has almost no single player though.
To stop RROD just keep it well ventilated and download your games to your system so they won't wear it out.

Re: 360 reccomendations
It's a new feature. Once you have the game disc in the tray you go to game library and click on the game. Then click download to system(might be worded different but it's close).
It's pretty awesome, my system barely does anything while I play, compared to before when the fan would run for hours.

Re: 360 reccomendations
but, wouldn't that make renting games illegal?... pretty much, and I'm planning to get the core system, it's all I can afford

Re: 360 reccomendations
You still need the disc to play. It's Microsofts way of making the system last longer by working smarter rather than harder.

Re: 360 reccomendations
Actually, the main function of that is to reduce loading times and make your system quieter.
Regardless, my 360 is still goin fine. Actually, the disc drive is messed up, but no red ring. Just get a warranty if you can afford one, and hope for the best.

Re: 360 reccomendations
Yeah that might be the main function but you know it's also a bandaid for the RROD.

Re: 360 reccomendations
F.E.A.R and FEAR 2, +the expansion packs, they don't have the best story, but i thought the gameplay itself was pretty fun, and it's not FPS but Too Human is fun. and i'll think of some others, but they're right Dead Space is REALLY fun

I'm at 128 bucks now, and a core/arcade is 197 dollars here,
My bro's friend is lending me the orange box, when I get it, and I did research and asked around (RU included ) and I'm going to for sure get
1. Left 4 dead (top of my list)
2. Timesplitters 4
3. 20 g hard drive (as soon as possible asap)
4. Bajo kazooie
5. F.E.A.R. (seen it, but have not played it)
thanks, more suggestions would be apreciated.

Re: 360 reccomendations
yeah well thanks man , I did like a whole pile of chores and school today, and I have to keep it up for 3 weeks at least, this is just retarded, I know there stressed from other kids in the house, but don't take it out on me, and taking away my console is just like, frick stealing pretty much, it's my property
fact is I was forced to this crappy home learning this year, and so I don't have much to do except play games, and of course, I try to be active with my sports and all, but off track there, this does just suck.

That's too bad to hear. I hope things turn around soon.
I was actually home schooled when I was growing up (lots of travelling), so I know it can be a bit of a bummer. The one advantage I had (I don't know if this is an option for you) was that I was allowed to go at a bit quicker pace, so I was able to graduate at 16. Maybe there will be a plus in there for you too somehow. Hopefully one of those plusses will be getting your system back.

Re: 360 reccomendations
It was called english when I was in school. It had different variations but english was the key word.
