Re: Election

I like this one better.

This one describes McCain and the nutjobs campaign.

I'm happy about this. It's one of those moments in history in which people will remember where they were when they heard. Regardless of how it turns out it's a big step forward for the US imo.
Really though I'm just happy they kept Palin out of office. I was losing faith in people hearing how good they thought she was. Also I was hearing people around the world(forums/games) mocking us for even letting her get this far.

Edit- I liked the second pic, what's it from?

Re: Election

I would have rather had Hillary Clinton, but she was out of the race a while ago, so I'm content with Obama.

Re: Election

Happy that obama won

we really needed some change from the normal polotics of people throwing money around to get what they want and try throwing money at a problem to try and fix it.

I am not Happy that in california gay marriage was banned again.... people trying to enforce there discrimitory views on everyone is not right.

Or more likely just not excited that homophobia can stop one of America's most prideful constitutional rights - freedom to live your life however you want.

Not much difference in someone saying you can't play video games and you can't marry someone of the same sex. The person saying it doesn't have any right to tell you what you can and can't enjoy.

Homophobic jokes are immature.

I voted Ralph Nader.

I wanted Ron Paul.

I know I had no chance of winning and will not until a third party can get in the debates. I saw voting for Nader as voting for the chance to have a third party get some air time.

I am so disappointed in American politics that I feel my choices are to be angry all the time or emotionally detached. I choose the later.

Re: Election

I wrote in Ron Paul.
Better Obama than McCain.
I am perhaps overtly optimistic about Obama. He seems like a sharp enough guy and shares a fair amount of my beliefs.
I am with Kong in supporting a third party, or even better no parties.

Re: Election

I'm pretty content with Obama winning and all... However, I just hope the race issue doesn't dominate politics and become a large factor in everything concerning his term (though I'm sure it probably will). It's just stupid!

Re: Election

Hate to break it you, folks, but it's going to be politics as usual inside the Beltway for the next four years. Only difference is that our legislation and policies might become a bit more left of center as compared to the right of center for the past eight years.
