Re: Star Trek: TNG - The Orb of Knowlege
Kong do you own this? I gotta say I didn't know these exsisted. I can't ever see myself doing one of these in person, at least on a forum we won't seem as dorky. I think.
So if I'm right only Kong and I know much about Star Trek?
I'm ok to play whatever character but there's some I'd rather not if possible.
Guinan(never liked that character)
Dr Crusher(same)
Troi(again, same as above)
I'd much prefer Data or Worf but I can see those being popular choices.
So we're going to do this in character right? According to the manual there's information we all have to keep secret from each other, this mean you won't be playing Kong since you know the answers?

Yes. I got it from a thrift store. It was sold in 1992.

It does seem less dorky to do online. That doesn't make sense but it does.

I don't know much about Star Trek. I've watched it some but not a lot. I have never seen Ro and I had to look up a couple of the other characters to refresh my memory. You do not have to know anything about Star Trek to play.

Yes, you play in character as best as you can. I have not read any of the secret stuff. I put everything in PDFs and did not read it while doing so.

I'll call dibs on Data then. If you need to change me to fill out the list it's cool. If anyone really wants Data it's cool too. Just let me know and please don't make me Whoppi.

Wow that is such a good choice for you. Riker is also a smarmy bastard who thinks he's a ladies man.
What made you choose him? Do you like being called commander? :P
Btw, you thought Riker looked the coolest? I bet it's because you hate black people, Klingons, women and androids. You're such a bigot.

Re: Star Trek: TNG - The Orb of Knowlege
How has no one picked Kunta Kinte yet?
Also: The most experience I have had with Star Trek was watching it with my father as a pretty young child, therefore I do not remember it, and going to the Star Trek experience in Vegas. One of the characters called me a good for nothing Klingon or something, hence my character choice.

Re: Star Trek: TNG - The Orb of Knowlege
Why hasn't everyone picked a character yet? I assume either no interest, you do not know who the characters are and do not care who you are, or you are just busy. Should I assign characters for everyone?
This game is best played fast and not with huge delays in between each step.

Re: Star Trek: TNG - The Orb of Knowlege
Wow how corny, the admiral is named Di Lithium? Also a member of the away team is named Rom Ulan? They just said Romulan as a species right before that. This can't be an official Star Trek item.
Other than that I'm interested.

Re: Star Trek: TNG - The Orb of Knowlege
I don't think it's ironic, I'd say it's obvious.
I see Kong took a bullet for the team. No one wants to be Guinan. It isn't a bad choice for you Kong. You have a similar personality from what I've seen. It wasn't the character Guinan that bothered me, it was whoopi goldberg playing the role that ruined it.

@Tenser. Try right clicking and selecting save file as. Then open it in a media player. If that doesn't work let me know and I will put it in zip file to force a download.

I will post the next bit tomorrow. There is nothing to do yet unless you want to talk over dinner or swap characters.
Anyone that doesn't have a character in the game can still talk as one of those guys that wears a red suit and dies at the end.

That would be an ensign. Also, they don't always die at the end. Sorry, couldn't resist. :P

Funny, saw that quote in TMNT 4.
"Starbase, where no Turtle has gone before."
