Star Wars re-re-release
Yes, you read that right Star Wars is being redone once again. This time they are going to release all 6 movies back into theaters, (yes again) but with a new exciting twist. This time it will be 3-D.. How much more can they pull out of the series till everyone is just tired of them.. So the question i would like to know is does anyone out there think that this is a good idea, or is the whole thing getting out of hand?

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
I'd probably see it. Not sure if it's worth it though.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
I agree that they're sort of beating this to death, but, 1-6 in Imax 3D would be pretty sweet.
Something makes me think this'll be preamble to episodes 7-9.

I agree with Brody, milking it so badly.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
I agree with both Tails & Brody. Since they redone it last time, I had trouble getting 4-6 on VHS or DVD. I couldn't tell if they're the original or the remake. And imagine what it'll be like if the re-release comes out on video as well. They could put the original trilogy with 1-3 in theaters instead & people'll still line up to see them. How much more could they do to "improve" on 4-6? I think they done enough.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
Umm I dont know where this 3D craze is comming from but it does not make a movie better.
what we really need is like back to the future 2 when the shark comes out of the screen.
but seriously star wars again.... where is all the creativity in hollywood these days... there are no new movies being made very much anymore
they are all comic book movies or remakes of older movies... like the incredible hulk that just came out dident they just remake that like 2 or 3 years ago and then they make it again.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
that was my overall point cause this is getting out of hand no one has a original thought in Hollywood anymore it has gotten to the point where they are remaking Broadway plays into musicals (IE. the producers, mama mia) so i guess until someone over there go hey i got a original idea we have to put up with the remakes of a remake. but the star wars one now i am not even mildly excited to see when i heard it i just went oh no not again.
@ oasis, now that would be a great idea to make hologram movies, that i would pay to see ;D

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
Are you suggesting they make a musical out of the Star Wars franchise?
I'd see that too.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
lol no thats not what i was suggesting but that would not be a bad idea that i would probally see as well just for the sheer comedy factor of the overall thing.. but what i was talking about was the fact that they are making movies based on broadway plays now..

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
hmm this is starting to sound like a poor attempt at brainstorming a bad you tube video that would get millions of hits.

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
I agree wit the fact that this could be leading up to 7-9,but Lucas sold out on Ep. 3, and I couldn't watch it again without my eyes bleeding severly, and if they re-released 4-6 uncut id watch that, but its dying

Re: Star Wars re-re-release
i have to agree the worst thing that Lucas did when he released number three was reveal who the infants were cause now you know that they are brother and sister where in numbers 4 and 5 you didn't even have a clue, to much was released in number 3 that now you would have to watch them 4,5,6,1,2,3 so you don't ruin the whole thing
