Wow, sega just killed any hope for Sonic now.. Sonic turns into a Werewolf... umm didn't LOZ:TP already do this? Good bye Sonic.

phst havent you ever heard of hedgehogs turning into werewolfs

and there could be many valid reasons for this.

Dr. Robotnik developes a chemical the turns all the little creatures he captured into werewolfs to fight sonic and sonic accadentaly gets infected himself.

then he turns in and out of werewolf form

this Idea could work if they were trying to make a more of a sonic game with better battles then just hey lets jump on this guy and jump on that guy and roll

this werewolf would be a bit slower so controls for fighting could be more finely tuned.

just an idea for why they might do such a thing

Sega killed my hopes after Shadow the Hedgehog.

As for gameplay concept, Oasis pretty much hit it right on spot. During the daytime, Sonic will run around like normal gameplay, spinning, running, jumping. At nighttime, he'll turn into the wereHOG, where he'll be significantly slower, but stronger in his attacks.

well from what ive seen it looks like this gam has been in the making since 2001..

but honestly, its not sonic, and honestly i hate it in LOZ:TP >_>

@GF: i don't even bother with the crappy games they are making now, SatSR looked really bad, Sonic Next Gen the same thing.

@PFL: i agree, but Sonic going werewolf? thats uber bullcrap right there.. only thing i do like is that they have day to night in the game.

@Timber: i agree... their handhelds are the bomb, this just might be me who played Sonic 2 since he was 4 but i feel that if they went back to original conept like Megaman is doing it would save the series.

Oh man, it is gonna be awesome when this game doesn't suck and all you die hard sonic fans brushed it off and I actually think it looks pretty cool.

oh lord, TMT, sega has already one upped this game.. Sonic and the Black Knight is going to be released for Wii next year, and to top it he uses a Sword...

Well that sounds stupid...but Sonic Unleashed looks totally not crappy. And unlike a lot of people, I thought that all the crappy sonic games looked crappy before they even came out, when everyone else was talking about how this might be the return of Sonic.

And that RPG Sonic they are making for the DS looks rad too.

i hope your right, but Sonic going werewolf isn't something i would expect..

heck the original sonic got its stuff from DBZ..

7 chaos = 7 balls

super saiyan = Super sonic

1 wish = become Super sonic.

i just don't think having weresonic will do the series any good.

their portable sonic games are amazing, like you said that RPG looks good, Sonic Rush 1 and 2 were good. Sonic Advance was good.. Sega should just be a portable gaming company.

I am saying that. I've played them off and on since they came out and I never thought they were that good. Always seemed like Sega was just trying to beat Mario Bros. I give them credit for doing a good job but Mario > Sonic.

you didn't grow up on Sonic then, i played Sonic games since i was 4, Mario is alright but i much perfer the old Sonics. mario is just goomba stomping, Sonic is speed, power, and collecting special items.

Yeah, since you were 4 you've been playing Sonic of course you'll prefer that. I started playing Mario Bros @ 7 yrs old when it was released so of course I'd prefer that.

woah you were 7? i was thinking you were like 16 when Mario came out..

but heres the thing, ive been playing Mario since i was two..

the awesome items? a bigger mario and fire flower.. the bosses was only bowser back then like Eggman was to Sonic.

I started with Mario, and I prefer Mario. But my grandma had a Genesis and I went to her house after school for a couple hours every day. I love Sonic. I prefer Mario.

I agree with this. But if I had to choose it would be mario. I just feel the games were more thought out and they put effort into making it worth playing. Sonic just seemed like an attempt to get young players buy a genesis.

Not everyone likes platformer games. Besides Mario bros I really don't like any that I can think of. I need some level of RPG in it for me to not lose interest.

And you are proving my point, Sonic being made to get kids to buy a genesis isn't helping it's standing as a good game. At least with Mario they just went for a far out character in a trippy world. Although the first game was basically inspired by Joust(before the NES mario game) and just used the character from Donkey Kong. Either way, MARIO > SONIC.
