OMG it's a new thread

I know there's a few hacks and stuff amongst the games on RU, but I came across Alien Vs Predator for the Atari LYNX ( http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade....ay&gameid=8401 ) just now. From what I can tell it's a prototype of a game that was never released. I'm glad some of these little nuggets of history are still around.

It doesn't load well on RU, I had to button mash a bit to get it started. Here's a short vid of footage with some chap talking a bit about the game - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xppK_6ruBRc

Anyway I played a bit and submitted a score without really know what I was doing. But I think you can't take damage - and apparently you can't complete the game - so this is probably a game that should have scoring disabled?

That's a weird looking game, not at all what I expected. Too bad it's not complete so we can see what they had in mind for it.

Agreed. Looks like the Lynx console it wasn't emulated properly in either of the versions of MESS used here for Score Mode (0.135 standard, 0.141 beta), and this game just hangs for me using either RU or locally installed versions of 0.135/0.141.
Though I did manage to have a look at the game in 0.235 and after almost forever and a day, I found a bomb! Only to be confronted with a message a little later that I needed 2 more... aarrgghh!!!!

Also I can't get Full Mode or either of the Java modes to work at all.

I'll make some changes... thanks for the heads up!
