Game of the Week

The same rules apply as before but except for making a separate thread for each new game I'm just going to switch them over right here. There have been a few minor alterations so please be careful.

Not I. You know how I feel about this series. Fact is I really wont be gunning for the majority of these. There are only about 50 that I want.

Ok so a few tips to those willing to brave the Adventure

1. Your high score will not show up on the title screen after you die as it does on the original, so be ready to snap that shot.
2. If you die while facing a boss, your score will not be visible, and you are SOL. Note* this happened to a very becoming forum mod, one of Destiny in fact, when he had beat the previous high score. :ranting:
3. If you continue you lose your score, as in the original.

In case this thread and the home page are not updated on time, you can always get the correct game of the week from the calendar.

Things I have learned playing this game.
1. You cannot get over 9 guys. That sucks
2. Your score is very random, I beat my old score earlier in the game. Also Wanman was way earlier in the game when he scored the above. I think it may have to do with the end of level bonus, but I'm not sure. Also your path in the game is depended on what eggs you choose at the end of the level, I think it's an odd/even thing, but I'm not sure yet.
3. It takes a long time to get to that score.
4. There are very few hidden eggs and honey fairies in this game compared to the first one.

Wanman you had better beat my score more than by just 3,000 points next time, every time I play this game I increase by about 100,000.

Ten, I must have misunderstood, I don't get the win with the winning high score?

I don't submit after I get the high score unless I beat it to allow other members to get some points.

My plan went exactly as it is. After you got the high score, i focused on getting a high score on the leaderboard. After that i knew i had more points than you. I was just waiting if you would get another high score. But unfortunately u didn't

Yeah great, your "plan" worked cause I don't like taking over the entire scoreboard. I had 200,000 on Fri and did not submit, as I did not want to bump dickysimpkins30 off the board. I could care less about the points or the contest win, I was just wondering, and since I have the arcade title I'm ok.

:@:Hobbes: Sorry Hobbes, that rule hasn't changed since week one. The idea is that one amazing score shouldn't outweigh consistently good scores.

No it's fine, I misunderstood. When I read that thing about the person with the highest total points would get a special prize, I was thinking at the end of all the game of the weeks. And yes I'm aware that it will be roughly in 2-3 years before we reach the end of the NES game of the week.

I wouldnt have been upset if you would have bumped me off the board, Hobbes. That score wasn't that great and I think I only got to the first or second part of level 3. I am kind of hurt though that I did get some points for being in the top 10, but couldnt get my named spelled correctly...

Well I like to see other people involved in the site and the contests. It's better for the site. I was not meaning that you were not deserving of the points, or that you would be upset by getting knocked down.
Anyway the problem was my misunderstanding, and I have a way to have the best of both worlds now.

Oh and don't mind Ten, he would mess up my name if it weren't so simple.

I'm thinking of changing my name to Master Hobbins, moving to the South Pacific, wearing a white hat (Nebraska of course) and a grass skirt, eating fruit all day and finding that fox of a princess!

I assume that I will have to learn to throw stone axes at things and tame dinosaurs, but I think I'm up to it.

I would also like to state that Adventures of Bayou Billy may the worst game ever. Or at least have the worst game control ever.
