Not true Byrd, I enjoy a little rap and hip hop myself. Though my tastes in those genres are more in line with TMT. Lots and lots of melody, that's what I look for. The only ones I have on mt iPod though are Del, Everlast and Phi Lyfe.

i understand why it's probably because of what the radio station plays over where you guys live. down here in south florida they mostly play what i listen to, in matter a fact DJ Khaled is a radio DJ here in south florida... if your ever in fort lauderdale or miami listen to 99.1 and you'll here him. and most of the artist in my list are from south florida or live in south florida. @TMT: I know the iPod keeps a record of how many times you've listened to a song. 95% of the time I use the shuffle feature so those are just random songs that get played more than others. I've got two concerts comming up in August but nothing in July. August I'm off to see Ted Nugent and Candlebox. The wife's also seeing John Mayer in August.

@Byrd: Most of what I listen to I've heard about through music blogs, NPR's World Cafe or just word of Mouth. I would have no clue what the local rap station plays.
