ps3 drivers that aren't riddled with malware...

So, as DS3 Tool/Motioninjoy and now apparently Joytokey are both riddled with malware. Is there a third option for using a ps3 controller on PC?

Did I mention I hate how malware is in everything now...

Thanks bearhawk. Oddly enough it's working as is with RU. Not for anything else though. So I'll try that.

Secondly, anyone know how to get rid of Motioninjoy. I've had it for some time but don't dare use it as it opens up to some malwarey site by default, and supposedly it puts up a huge fight to get it off your computer. As it stands I just don't use it, and my computers clean. Probably the best solution?

Install the libusb component first, then plug in your controller with the USB cable and run ps3sixaxis_en.exe. Push the PS button on your controller and you should be good to go.

Not working. The last file is just opening and closing a command prompt really quickly. Maybe because I'm on 64 bit?

It's supposed to do that. After it runs your PS3 controller is recognized by windows, check Control Panel -> Game Controllers, you can test and calibrate the axes that way.

Follow these uninstall steps this if you've been using motioninjoy.

Do not use MotionInJoy, ever.
If someone asks you about it, tell them not to use it.
If you see any threads anywhere about it, strongly urge that it is malware and screws up your computer.

Removing it completely with the above steps made my controllers work on Retrouprising again.

So the controller is now recognized, but when I try to calibrate it nothing responds.

I think your thing was for windows xp and below seahawk. I tried switching the compatibility mode since I'm on Windows 7 on the new computer. Anyways, no dice still.

Bearhawk's method seemed to have worked.
