The Wolf Among Us
From Telltale Games, the creator of The Walking Dead video game, comes a new point and click adventure, called The Wolf Among Us.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a_St9DTuO0"]The Wolf Among Us - Trailer - YouTube[/ame]
It's based on a DC comic called "Fables". The main character is Bigby Wolf. I don't know too much about this game but since its made by Telltale, I'm most likely getting it. I love Telltale's artistic style and the point and click gameplay was interesting in TWD, so I'm hoping it will be good here.
I know the release date is sometime in late September or early October of this year. Episode one will be called "Faith". I believe it will follow a episodic release like The Walking Dead game had 5 episodes.

Re: The Wolf Among Us
Lol I think Bigby is supposed to be the Big Bad Wolf and not the Wolfman. I haven't read the comics but from what I read, it also includes other folklore characters like the Three Little Pigs and Mr. Toad, among some.

I am usually skeptical of point and click games but this one looks good. I love that animation style.

Yeah, they did a good job of making it look like an animated comic book.

Re: The Wolf Among Us
I think it looks pretty solid, but I've still yet to finish episode two of The Walking Dead.
If I understand correctly, Telltale Games' TWD was more of a fiction created by Telltale Games set in the same universe as the comics. Will "The Wolf Among Us" follow the Fable comics directly or be more of a side story?
If the former is true, it would make me further wonder if the cause-and-effect narrative will be a gameplay element here as well.

The Walking Dead game has no relevance to the comics aside from appearances by maybe 2 or 3 characters such as Glenn who appears in the comics and TV series.
From what I've seen (particularly this: Why ‘The Wolf Among Us’ Video Game Will Be Better Than Any ‘Fables’ Movie) it seems to me that it will somewhat follow the comics. Might not be a direct adaptation but the protagonist is the same as in the comics and the backstory all seems the same.

Thanks. Telltale is easily becoming one of my favorite gaming companies so I'm trying to follow them as much as possible.

Hold on, looks like it will take place before the comics.

Re: The Wolf Among Us
I like Watching the Walking Dead but that game was awful and I do mean the point and click one instead of the FPS game and no i haven't touched the FPS one. However this game look cool here but it's another game base off a comic so it might be different because you get to make certain decisions and the ending will be more then one i'm guessing.

Why do you feel that it was awful?

Just wondering, did you actually finish the game? Do you just not like point and click games in general?

Re: The Wolf Among Us
It is now out for 25 dollars. I haven't picked it up yet but I will definitely once I get the money. I've heard that episode 1 is fantastic. IGN gave it a 9.0 review score.

Re: The Wolf Among Us
I finally got around to playing it (bought it during the Steam summer sales, thanks Gabe) and finished it over the past few weeks. Really good game. Had some down parts like Episode 4 was not a very good episode, but the last episode was amazing, maybe even the best episode Telltale has released (that being all 5 TWAU episodes and the 9 Walking Dead episodes released so far). It rivals The Walking Dead Season 1's final episode, but that's about it. Anyway, if any of you are fans of Telltale/have played TWD game, I would advise you to pick this one up. A lot of fun!
Now we wait for Telltale's Game of Thrones series
