Big Mistake - Scores from Feb 7 to Feb 8 lost

Sorry, I just made a big mistake.

I accidentally deleted all game data - screenshots, movies, online save states, games - everything except the forum.

Luckily the back up was just 27 hours old so only one day was lost.

This is the first time this has ever happened. I am very sorry but scores set between

are lost.

I will be PMing each person that submitted a score in that time so that they can hopefully resubmit them.

The only saves affected were ones created in Beta Score Mode or Java Mode. If that is what you are using then saves made on Feb 7th were lost.

The reason this happened is because I am moving all the game files to a new server - hopefully it will be faster and cheaper.

In the process I accidentally over wrote all of the files with yesterday's back up.

I just flipped the switch to start using the new server. Everything should go smooth but there is a chance that the next couple hours will be bumpy.

Starting tomorrow games should load faster. If it works then I will move the forums and rest of the site too.

Let me know if you notice any problems.

OK, I really hope I didn't just waste three and a half hours. I just recently submitted the game ending screen for Metroid. It made it to the scores page, but it wont show the image. Is the score (mastery) still savable?

I can try to recover your last submitted score if you PM me before you submit another score.

Crap, a mistake on the new server caused 4 more scores to be lost bringing the grand total to 80 scores and 19 players. It is fixed now. I don't expect any more problems.

I just submitted a 124,000 on the Daikaiju game for the Tag Team contest and it did not appear even though it said it submitted successfully. Losing that Space Invader score hurts too. Lousy timing for glitches... Time is not a resource I have. Congrats Tedster and Agnostic.

If this messed up the contest then I think that an extra day or 2 should be added.

Hey Joz, those were the original ones wiped out but Wolfie has already seen them, there were more last night which were stronger scores which just didn't go through. I'm just worried about submitting anything until I know it will stick. Glitches happen and it's just a contest so I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. This is the first time we've ever had submitting issues in my time here just rotten timing with the opponent we are facing lol
