Ninja Gaiden for me. While LoZ is a great game, I honestly didn't get into it as much as I did with Link to the Past. As for the other two games...never played them, but I'll give them a shot.

I can't vote. For one, I haven't played Scheherazade, so there's that, but I also just can't bring myself to entertain the idea that either Maniac Mansion could trump LoZ or that Loz could top Maniac Mansion. Both are awesome games in which you can discover a massive amount of new things through each play.

But why waste your vote on a game that will be completely destroyed further down the line? I mean it's not like if you force them to pass the early rounds people will suddenly realize how awesome they are and vote for them in any meaningful way. But like DN said it's your vote.

I know what you mean, but a vote is the lazy man way of promoting a game, and it defeats the point of the what you are actually voting for.

Imagine if you had the choice between Maniac Mansion and Legend of Zelda, but you will lose the ability to ever play the one you don't choose. Would you still go with Maniac Mansion?

Better yet, imagine if you liked Bush but wanted to vote for Al Gore, but you thought that Al Gore was going to win so you voted for Bush so that people would see that he was a good candidate.

You both seem to be missing the point that a vote for Zelda is a wasted vote -it will win weither or not I vote for it.

Now I like Maniac Mansion more than Ninja Gaiden 2, or Magic of Scheherazade. 1 of these 3 is going to advance, so I can vote for Zelda (or not vote at all for that matter) or I can put my vote towards the game I would like to see come in second, and advance to the next round.

That's the best I can explain it.

It does not matter whether you think it will win. That in no way should logically shape your vote, unless you want promote a game which defeats the point of the vote.

Now that I think of it I haven't played Zelda in over 20 years, and barely remember any of it. Maniac Mansion I know pretty much inside out, so Maniac Mansion had the stronger impression on me, so let's just justify my vote for that reason.

You don't need to justify a vote for Maniac Mansion. The other games on the list better be scared, it has a real chance at going places. Obviously it wouldn't win overall but it would knock out some other pretenders.

Well there you go. I'm on the same boat, but I just have more fun when I play Zelda.

I really don't like the idea of voting for one, since I really can't tell you which one I prefer. Maniac Mansion is engaging, but Zelda is raw fun. If you handed me a choice between the games to actually play, I would be 50 50 on either one, depending on what I feel like. The games are just too far up in their genres to compare.

Simple solution. Since Zelda is a lock for the win just vote for Maniac Mansion since the two really aren't in competition with each other. You're voting for MM over Ninja Gaiden and that german sounding game.

I looked it up, it's the name of a fictional Persian queen. Her name means something like world freer. In the story she tells stories to stop a murderous king from killing his brides the day after their first night together. Not a very uplifting story imo. So what's the game about?

Meh, if I was making a best of list Scheherazade would be in the top ten.

Bunch of barbarians. The NES has been on this site since day one and you people act as if you've been playing the same five games over and over. I would have loved to put in great games like Ghost Lion but I had to consider the crowd I had to deal with.

I have little hope for Crystalis making it past round two let alone going final four.
