Earthbound help?

Hello,

I'm trying to play SNES Earthbound but when it starts there are no other characters and I can't seem to do anything. If I remember correctly you're supposed to go into the sister's room and get a bat and talk to his mother but when I step out of the main guy's bedroom it is day and no other characters appear in my game. Am I just forgetting to do something or is there something wrong with the game?

After the first encounter with your Mom, you change from your pajamas and then talk to her again. After that you go to the source of the large crash (the meteorite).

What mode are you playing in? Earthbound seems to have some problems in Java mode but arcadeOX full mode should work fine.

Yeah I was playing the Java one. I have a mac so I don't think I can play in the other mode. Oh well! Thanks for the help guys!

I can't play at all. My guy wakes up and there no other characters in the game so I can't talk to Tracy or the mom. I can't leave the town, there's nothing at the meteorite crash site. It's like the character's own personal hell.

You should try the other modes to make sure it doesn't work. If none work for you then sadly I think you're out of luck. You're the first person to mention being on Mac(as far as I remember) so I don't think there's any support for it as of yet. But I could be wrong.

Sorry cultchick, but you are right. This game does not work properly in Java Mode. I disabled that mode so it wont confuse people in the future.

And ArcadeOX does not work on a Mac. So you will not be able to play this game.

When I went to play Earthbound, ArcadeOX was disabled and Java mode was not, so I was unable to play. I just wanted to give you heads up in case it was a mistake. Thanks.
