New here, may be a stupid question....

Hey, I'm Cameron and I'm new to to this great website.

I've enjoyed the site and the games featured, but I have a quick question and it's probably a stupid one. When I go onto a game, most of them say to Select you press Space. I'm pressing the space bar but nothing is happening. My space bar works fine usually, so is there something wrong with the games?

Or are the instructions wrong and it's actually something else to Select?

I tried the game for a couple minutes but I'm not even sure what Select would be used for.

What mode are you loading the game up in? Java, ArcadeOX full or score?

ArcadeOX full. Select is used to select which country you start in. I also tried Enter but it didn't work.

I used the arrow keys to move around the world map and it let me choose(although I can't choose anything but UK because of money).

In Theme Park for SNES moving through the menus and changing countries is done with the arrow keys. When you first start the game the only country you can afford is the first one, UK.

It looks like the Score Mode version needs to be removed - bad background graphics.

Yeah, I know you can only pick UK. And I think that is the answer to my problem - the UK.

I'm guessing the buttons are different because I have a European/UK keyboard while the rest of you probably have an American one and that's who the button instructions were written for.

I'll have to figure out the buttons by myself.

Are you able to move around the world map and see the other options even though you can't afford them?

Btw what's the difference in UK/US keyboards? The one I use has less functionality but it works for me-

Yeah, I can look at all the different locations. The keyboard thing is just my theory, whether that's actually the problem or not....

By problem do you mean the Select button is not Space bar on your Euro keyboard? If so what button are you using instead? Space bar works as it's supposed to in other games right? Sorry to ask but I wanna be sure you are able to play the games fully. We have other members from the UK and I've never heard of any problems before.

Keyboards aren't the issue unless the spacs bar in your keyboard does not work. The keys should work fine even if you have something other than a QWERTY. I will check it out later today but I'm guessing the SELECT button has no function tied to it in the game itself.

If it isn't your keyboard and the SELECT button has an actual function in this game the only other option is that you must have remapped the controls.
