Retro Uprising - Arcade - Batman Returns for SNES

Batman Returns is a video game based on the movie of the same name. The SNES version of the game was released by Konami in 1993. It is fundamentally a left-to-right scrolling fighter beat-em-up, a genre that featured heavily on the console at the time. The gameplay and graphics are very similar to the Final Fight games.

The game takes the player through seven scenes featured in the film. Various members of the Red Triangle Circus Gang attack Batman throughout the game. Batman has a number of weapons and moves at his disposal, including the batarang. Each level ends with a boss character. A number of levels are two-dimensional platform levels as opposed to the majority of the pseudo-3D levels where freer movement is permitted. The fifth level consists of driving the Batmobile in a chase scene where Batman must chase bikers and a heavily-armed van from the gang. In order to defeat them, the Batmobile uses a machine gun.

Master Batman Returns for 45 Game Club points.

To receive Mastery credit, you must beat the game on Default Difficulty or higher.

Elrod21 is correct. Current game is the PAL version and needs to be replaced with the NTSC version.

Way too many buttons, same issue with Super Bomberman.

why don't you just set up certain buttons with multiple inputs. Like block for instance.
This is my set up: (L = punch) ( ; = jump ) ( ' = R+L to block ) ( [ = tube bomb ) and ( . = batarang)

I know you need to play in mania mode to get Mastery. I believe you have to play with just 3 lives also right?

This game is seriously retardedly hard... do you need to stick with the 3 lives? I May be able to do it with 5.

Other than the difficulty being set at Maniac, all options need to be default. So that means three lives and yes, you can use the continues available by default.

I would like to give a cool tip I figured out.

on most bosses that you can grab. when you grab them, headbutt twice then move forward while holding the enemy and you can re grab them. you can even back up then forward and re grab them. I use this tip on the stage 2 boss, stage 4 catwoman, the organ grinder, and even the final boss can be infinitely cheeped with this trick.

I have had almost no gaming time this week due to holiday season stuff amigo. I like this game alot, but I'm not sure if I will have the time to knock it out in December or not. How about you guys? Has anybody else been enjoying the game? It seems like Fogey has been doing pretty well in it.
