Playing Too the Music

Hey every one just wondering if any one else played a certain song to a certain game, I used to play the Top Gun Soundtrack when I played Kid Icarus and back then Yes I had to flip the Tape over and over

Check the music thread...I usually listen to a lot of stuff in there.

For fighting games I tend to listen to heavy metal. I need something that gets me motivated!

I like 80's rock for my vertical shooter games and jazz while playing RPGs that have a limited or crappy soundtrack.

It depends on the game really.

Most games have good music so I don't feel the need to switch.
Some games (like Kid Icarus as you mentioned) start to grate on the ears after a while so I switch it out with music from another game.
Other games (Xevious, Speed Coin) have crappy audio to start with and putting something else on is more for preservation of one's sanity than anything 0_o;.

I listen to Green Day, OneRepublic, Marianas Trench, Stereos, Rhianna, Billy Talent, and Billy Idol for everything.

Generally speaking, I simply play the game's audio.
If it is on a handheld, I might turn down the game so I can listen to the T.V. as I am playing.

When I play music over video games, I have many things to take into consideration:
If I hate the game's music, and I don't want to listen to "normal" music, I play the music from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Fighting games, I'll listen to metal, usually Pantera or Slayer.
Other than that, I'll just listen to some classic rock or something.

I hardly ever listen to actual music while playing. If the game music is awesome I'll listen to that regardless of how quickly it loops. Otherwise I'll just mute it and listen to the TV.

Mostly same. though I just pop on my MP3 player and rock out XD it's mostly game music. The only specific music is when Im in EPIC boss battles. Then I slap on the Depeche mode, Europe's final countdown, classical epic music, or tetris^^.

nothing like rocking out. Although Billy Idol did lose my respect after remaking one of my favorite songs
