Looking Back: Clash at Demonhead

Clash at Demonhead is one of the best games in the entire NES library. But maybe you had to be there. If one were to breathlessly list all the innovations and strides it made in the platforming/shooting subgenre nowadays, the natural reaction from your audience would be, “...And?”

Love this game. I was always disappointed though that you don't get to have a fight to the death with Tom Guycot. He was that skeleton guy that hits you and flies away in the beginning of the game.

I also love this game, it's one of the better obscure titles for NES in my opinion.
I never got to Tom Guycott either but still played on - and darn those homing missiles!
They whittled away my health every time, and the only by a fluke would I get past them undamaged.

I actually finished it, you don't get to fight Tom Guycott because he is killed later by the aliens that build that bomb you are diffusing at the end of the game. (At least I think it was a bomb, I'm a little fuzzy on that.)
