Walking Dead on AMC

This show is based on the graphic novel by the same name and is scheduled to air on Halloween....but you know how the internet works...it waits for NO ONE!

It just leaked online and I just downloaded it. I'll post my thoughts on it in once Ive watched it but just by 1st impressions it looks like its going to be EPIC

Just finished watching the 1st episoed and I have to say Im impressed. They stayed faithful to the comic and did a nice job of adding a few things in w/o making it look cheesy. Im also glad they didnt jump right into a ton of zombie killing...that adds a little realness to it.

Im not sure what I think about the Zombies themselves. They make them look like they kind of remember there old lives but I never got that impression from the books. But I guess they may need to do this to make the zombies a character unto themselves.

Its worth watching....I think the 1st few episodes will make or brake the show but Ive got a good feeling it will be great!

I read the first comic and loved it. I'm going to look it up online since I don't have cable...but I need me a new computer since my laptop died a few weeks ago

The season two opener is on tonight at 9PM and again an hour and a half later(long episode or two?

). If you don't get AMC you might be able to get it on some streaming site but I wouldn't know much about that, you're sol.

I love this show so much. I was really apathetic towards the trailers but my daughter and I watched it and got hooked immediately.

I watched the premiere of the second season with my brother and it was awesome. So now I'm watching season 1. Since it's only 6 episodes, it'll be easy to catch up. Already on Episode 4. Great series so far.

Yeah it's really well done for a zombie show. I know some people don't like the focus on character development over action but I think that's what makes it stand apart from the sea of zombie media and it keeps you interested. Like that damn cliffhanger from this most recent episode. I actually threw my hands up and said "WHAT!?" I hate waiting for a resolution but I get why they did it, no one wants to miss the next episode now.

Btw I think Johnny Cash songs can make anything seem more dramatic. They did it awesomely in Dawn of the Dead and it works just as well in this show.

I'm up to the season finale of season 1, so once I watch that, I'll be caught up for next week

This weeks episode was better. It wasn't too great, but better than the "story" episodes they've been having. Hopefully, they wrap things up with the girl next week and get things moving again. I feel next week is going to be awesome because...

They better step it up or they're gonna lose viewers in droves. I've seen lots of people complaining about the slow pace and I have to agree with them. Good show but too slow atm.

Agree, I think business will pick up again, I do know that they are following the current tread of TV shows and breaking this season into 2 parts. So there will be some action and mega cliffhanger to get people back in the spring time.

In the meantime, we can just hope that Shane gets his and hope that the Governor is written into the storyline

Btw tonight looks much better, actual zombies threatening their safe haven and a scene with helicopters? Can't wait.

Did anyone check out the show after Walking Dead last week, Hell on Wheels? I was intreged enough to watch this week's.

I haven't read the comic at length...enough to know about a character named The Governor and the troubles Rick has with him. From my understanding, there are multiple paralles, the main cast is the same, but there are variations with other characters and some story arcs.

I was just watching the crappy Talking Dead after the show and Steve from(somewhere I forget) Canada called in, that you steven? I know there's other canadian stevens but I have to make sure.

@Jim- I thought Hell on Wheels was kinda meh. I think it's Common playing the slave dude, he's just out of place looking. I do like the main bad guy Colm Meaney though, he played the transporter chief on Star Trek TNG so I'm a little bias.

Something about Hell on Wheels just feels forced. I'm stuck on thinking it's Common but I'm probably wrong. It's most likely just bad writing.

Not close at all. They've changed soo much. There are only a few similarities so far
