Error: You can't see me

When I try to play Amiga games (like Police Quest), I get the audio, but no display out. I notice there's a program (WinUAE?) that must be an outside emulator for the game, but it doesn't display there, or in the site window (WinUAE says, 'You can't see me', or something like that for the caption). I know there are bugs for Amiga, so it's not a big deal, and will probably be worked out in the future...

I get the same error. This will eventually be figured out, but all in due time.

Does this happen for you every time or just some times?
Would you like to use Team Viewer with me?
This error can sometimes happen if you are doing other things, like switching windows or tabs, while an Amiga game is loading. So don't do that.
This error only happens with Amiga. With the exception of Joz I know no one else that it happens to every time.

Yeah, it happens to me with every Amiga game I play (I tried Police Quest and Space Quest? EDIT: I also tried Alpha I, I think). I'll try just letting the game load (not switching tabs or anything).
EDIT: Letting the game load didn't change anything. Actually, there's a check program running in the background that says 'You don't see me'; I didn't get an actual error message, so I don't know if it's an error. Like I said, there's no video (I can hear the music and sound fine). That program running in the background is WinUAE, right? I can right click the program on the taskbar and open the program, but it says it's missing two roms. I believe it's the same two roms with each game I try to play.

It works! Yes. As far as I see, I had to actually start the emulator (press F12, then press 'Reset'; it'll say 'Start'. Press that, and the game will begin).

That's what I get every time too. Is the game just supposed to start? How did I miss this along? I have to do that load the game via the emulator on every single game. Always have.

I didn't know that was the problem. I just thought this is how the emulator worked for this syetm.

So, just so I am clear, do you not have to load the game and emu each time? Does it autostart?

Amiga auto starts on my home computer but not at work. At work I have to press f12 then restart to get it to work.

Yeah, maybe this is just how it works on certain computers; when I started it up, it wouldn't give me any video, just the audio, but restarting it works like a charm.
EDIT: Maybe Kong could put this up on the FAQ or sticky this method of starting up the emulator, since it isn't very obvious.
