Weird, Rare, or Odd NES / SNES Games
Any weird or rare NES / SNES games? I found one in Wonder Project J for the SNES. It's pretty good, though.

Golgo 13 on the NES is kind of odd.
Same with Bubble Bath Babes on the NES, it was unlicensed and despite being ugly 8-bit porn, the gameplay was decent.

Golgo 13? I'll see about that one. Pacman 2 for the SNES was actually an odd departure from the series, but was professionally done.

Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom was interesting (not really weird, just unique).

Challenger for the NES. It's cool (but weird).

Re: Weird, Rare, or Odd NES / SNES Games
Believe it or not, I've played Moai Kun before on one of those 52-games-in-1 N64 controllers that really had 5.2-games-in-it (heh heh - I got ripped off - Heh heh ); it was an interesting puzzle-platformer.
EDIT: Haven't even taken a look at Action 52, and I'm already expecting greatness. Heh - GameSpy.com - "The idea behind this cartridge is actually kind of interesting -- rather than saddling the player with one long game, Active Enterprises decided to offer up a smorgasbord of 52 minigames all jam-packed into one cart. The company planned to peddle its masterpiece to rental locations for the low, low price of $199. Hey, that's only about $4 a game! Trouble is, it's hard to find even $4 worth of enjoyment in this endless parade of inept programming, repetitive design and outright stupidity. You'd think that out of 52 titles, at least ONE of them wouldn't make you want to tear your own eyes out in horror. Alas, apparently that was too much to expect, as Active Enterprises brought 52 examples of awful game design to not one but two console systems. Of the two versions, the Sega Genesis release is the more shameful, because here the designers had more power to work with and still managed to squander it miserably. Action 52 provides over four dozen reminders that some programmers should never be let near a development kit. "
EDIT: Surprisingly, Wai Wai World for the NES is supposedly good.

I really enjoy an odd game called Musha: the classic Japanese tale of horror.
It has a really amazing art style. We have it here on retro, for snes. People should check it out.

There's a 7up advertisement called Cool Spot for the Genesis and SNES. I have the SNEs version. It is a really good game despite the blatant product placement. And it came with a contest too! You could play the game on hard mode while completing all six bonus stages and clear the game without continuing to get a special screen at the end. You could take a picture of this screen and mail it to Virgin for a prize.

Yeah, I've played Cool Spot before. Like you said, surprisingly good for a promotional game.

Umihara Kawase - Super Nintendo
You play as a little girl who uses a fishing hook to grapple around levels.
