Shiny pokemon

Has anyone here ever caught a shiny pokemon? (Apart from the red Gyrados)

I haven't caught any aside from the Gyarados.

I have run into a shiny Absol before, but I failed to catch it.
I have a shiny Meganium in Pearl.

I caught a shiny Quagsire in soulsilver, it was right in the same room with Moltres. Later that day i won a master ball from the lotto corner.

I once traded for a shiny Mew, which was obviously hacked.
Another time in Emerald I found a shiny Zigzagoon.

Fun fact: if you breed an international pokemon (one that came from, say, Japan) the egg's chance of containing a shiny pokemon is doubled. The probability is still extremely low though.

From what I heard, in Crystal you can hatch a Shiny Smoochum. Either that, or I just got real lucky.

There are also certain items you can have your Pokemon hold while breeding that can increase the chances of breeding a shiny... or at least I think there is.

But yeah, any Pokemon that can hatch, can hatch as a shiny. The odds of hatching a shiny Pokemon are higher than the odds of finding one.

My brother recently caught a Shiny Onix on SS.
For months I talk about how awesome I think Onix is, and then he catches a shiny one.

I've completed Ruby with all the shiny pokemon. I just have to rename them all. Oh and Pikachu colored Pichu is not exclusive to SoulSilver like Tails thought
