Final Fight
Story:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLGquPLLHpk"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLGquPLLHpk[/ame]
Final Fight takes place in Metro City, or New York City in the Street Fighter/Final
Fight world, where former pro-wrestler Mike Haggar was elected the city's new
Mayor, who promised to end the city's crime issues once and for all. The largest of
the crime organizations, the Mad Gear Gang, decides to kidnap Haggar's daughter
Jessica to maintain control of the city. Haggar decides to take action and enlists the
help of Bushin Ninja Guy and Jessica's Boyfriend Cody to take down the Mad Gears.
Gameplay:

Final Fight is a beat 'em up where the objective is to defeat every opponent on
screen and then move forward. Final Fight has three characters to choose from,
Guy who's the quickest but weakest of the three, Haggar is the strongest but
slowest, and Cody is the all-around character. All three each have a special ability
to mix things up, Guy can wall jump, Cody can stab enemies with knives, and
Haggar can pick enemies up to throw at others.
Final Fight uses only two buttons for attacking and jumping, as with most beat 'em
ups you can move in 8 directions, but only attack to the left and right. To
compensate, pressing both the jump and attack button at the same time causes a
special attack that attacks in every direction, but it costs a bit of health.
On top of the 6 excellent action levels, Final Fight also has 2 Bonus Stages to mix
things up, Car Breaker involves smashing one car on both times as fast as possible
while Glass Smasher involves breaking panes of glass in a row as quickly as
possible. The Car Breaker minigame would later be reused in Street Fighter II.
Glass Smasher:
Graphics:
For it's time, Final Fight had one of the most impressive graphics seen in video
games, the Subway Car, the Bay Area, and The Industrial Site each had vivid
colors that still impress today.
Sound:
Another thing that made Final Fight famous was it's excelent music, such catchy
themes such as the Bay Area, the Metro City Slums, or the Main Theme are still
being remixed today for recent games.
Others such as the Andore Cage Fight or Metro City Subways are also well known.
Main Theme:
Metro City Slums:

Bay Area (My favorite song):
Abigail Fight:
Overall:
Final Fight is a classic in every sense of the word, and over the top plot, excelent
gameplay and very memerable characters keep this game in every gamers heart.
Guy, Cody, Rolento, Sodom, and Hugo would all later star in later Street Fighter
games, with most recently Guy and Cody in Super Street Fighter IV:
Guy and Cody's themes also are remixes of Final Fight music:
Cody's Theme (Main Theme Remix):
Guy's Theme (Metro City Slums Remix):
Mike Haggar's style was so popular, they reused in for Street Fighter II for
Russian Pro-Wrestler Zangief. Who even has an alternate costume that matches
Haggars outfit. But Haggar himself has never appeared in a versus game since.
The Final Fight cast would even see an appearance on the Infamous Street Fighter
Cartoon series, where Ryu and Ken help Guy and Cody save Jessica.
Finally, with DLC characters coming along, it's rumored Rolento and Hugo may
make a return to the Street Fighter franchise. (Hopefully Mike Haggar too.)
Overall this game is a must play.
4.5/5

Re: Final Fight
Street Fighter is a fighting game, while Final Fight is a beat 'em up.
Although Final Fight was originally called Street Fighter '89, it has very different gameplay.
But that doesn't mean Final Fight isn't fun, the gameplay is very balanced and you can easily
learn how to diffeat your opponents with good combos. Only problem is, the charging fat
people do get annoying after a while.
