slow down in Gameboy games

i don't know if it's my computer or not but i noticed that whenever i play a Gameboy game and set it to full screen everything starts to slow down the music, the gameplay, everything, and it isn't lag, if it's just my computer i apologize, if it's normal to everyone on the site then is there anyway to fix it?

ArcadeOX Full Mode? It is going to depend on the computer. Full screen requires more computer power than in a window. On my computer it handles full screen no problem.

Re: slow down in Gameboy games

The fan kicking into overdrive means your cpu also kicked into overdrive. It means your computer is working harder to keep up. Nothing to worry about.

Your computer would take slightly more electricity and get hotter. The fan/heat sink should keep it cool enough. In the event that the fan was broken or clogged with too much dust then the cpu would over heat if that caused the computer to get dangerously too hot it would automatically shut off to protect itself. That is near worst case scenario. If it gets that bad then you want to look at ways of improving the cooling system.

Same would happen if you were using any other intensive program. What is intensive depends on your computer.

Mine ALWAYS shuts off, and it's a laptop. It's whenever I try to go on High Performance.

Mine slows down in full screen also. I usually play GB games in a 2X2 screen and it is fine. It may be a little small for some but it is fine for me.
