The way to get the highest score is to collect as many warp capsules as you can. It can help you score big bonuses.

We notified Kong earlier in the day, but I just heard back from him. I didn't want to post until he gave the go ahead. I didn't know what the outcome would be this round, and I didn't want to take any chances.

This was a fun but grueling contest. Hats off to everyone who played each round. It was tough. VB gave EC some great competition (great job to each of you), and Mega Men really came from behind once they got some players who would play. Also, Kong way to keep putting in great scores even when you were the whole team. GOM did great too, but it seems they had some last minute scheduling issues or something.

Fun contest. Now I think I will go to sleep, but before that, I have to say Eternal Champions you all rock! Way to let the warrior spirit rise.

@ Steven I think one of the conditions of winning was having wins or benching all of the teams players. I might be wrong...If I am Im sure someone will correct me lol

Thanks Smitty! Shinobi is a tough game, but it has been one of my favorites for years. Thanks to you too for all your hard work this contest (and to all of EC).

As far as benching, my understanding is that the team who benched everyone first would win.

First I want to say...good competition, Cassidy! VB really made this one tough right up to the end.

Regarding the benched player, Bagel finished Shinobi and notified Kong a few days ago and I submitted the final results for Earthbound to Kong earlier today. So we definitely beat the cutoff, it just didn't appear on the Titans thread until later.

@Winnebagel: I can't speak for all of the G.O.M., but I do not believe it's a stretch to say that most of our last minute scheduling issues were due to work and family. I am ok with that.

I hear you. This contest was the most demanding schedule wise I have ever participated in. I enjoyed the tough competition you guys all dished out, but I'm glad it's over. This one was a killer!

As much as I like Galaga, every single death I had was because my controls locked... I don't know why it does that, it's only done that on Space Invaders, Galaga & Bagman.

Thanks Cam! Sorry to hear about your PC problems. That can be frustrating. GNG had some major glitchy problems in Earth Bound that delayed him many hours in finishing it. It would randomly switch the controls all around, but especially he said he kept getting SNES not working errors and the game would crash over and over again.

I'm still up for S.O.S., but since the other contest took up so much time, how would you feel about delaying it by a week or two?

Thanks Tails. I think Mega Men would have had a stronger showing if you and some of their other strong players could have played sooner, but maybe you can help them out for the next contest. (You were still Toon Town when the contest started, and had not yet returned to the lands of RU right?

i think it was too long and intense personally, i invested enough time that i was legitemitly upset at the end result. -this is a first for me in video games.
i do like the idea of the structure of the tournament though, maybe start by benching four, then two then one? just to hurry it along a touch. overall i ended up investing too much time into the tournament beause i felt obligated too, but dont get me wrong it was fun.
the emmulator is great from my stand point.
some of the funner games for me were, cameltry, sapce invaders 95, super puzzle fighter and chicken shift. the rest i had already played or didnt enjoy that much.
