This is to help peeple who are looking to start a band or are already in a band and looking for band/song names and ideas, here's one that I just recently came up with:

Death from a Higher Power

I also have a bunch of others but I plan to use most of them (and possibly that one)

Jumping Caskets(Chris thought that one up while he was on his pain meds, dont ask)

I've got countless others but, i want to see how these are received, we are going to be a metal band of some sort

Btw, Our Conspiracy Theory sounds pretty good, what kind of band are you aiming for?

Well it's probably gonna be a NEW style of rock/metal, because I'm in the middle of making an instrument that I invented, it's called The Electric Sype, it's gonna be like nothing you've ever heard b4 ^_^

My band is called Only Minutes to a Sexier You.

We are a rap band. We have been playing for about 3 years, and only 2 original members are left including myself.

I find nearly every band name in this thread very cheesy and typical metal.

Then again, I don't really like metal music. I just don't really get it. I like my music to be "pretty" as opposed to "brutal".

I always thought that Toad the Wet Sprocket was the best band name EVER lol...but since its been used already I think that Motivated Maneuvers would be cool and easy to remember.

Kodally Tempo is just two random music terms put together. how is it cheesy or metal? we're aiming to do a variety of genres, and we'll be using many different instruments, just not all at the same time! for instance, ill be playing both sax and piano. i only have a tenor sax, but that should change soon enough. other instruments include trumpet, flute, cajon, guitar, bass and drums. we'll probably use more though, and i could also throw clarinet in the ring.

Ya, my friends listen to them all the time and I've heard a lotta songs from them n I can't stand them, their lyrics, in EVERY song, sound like their trying to ACT hardcore, y'know??

Naw, "Sype" is just a name I made up for it

I'm not gonna reveal anything about it quite yet because it's not copywritten or anything, but once I make it I'll post vids of me plain it n stuff up, k?? ^_^

Cool, well it sounds pretty creative. I'm hooked. XD

My friends are forming a progressive metal band called "The Liquid Groove Essence." Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards/Synth, and MAYBE vocals. We've already been covering a bit of Fares Warning, Symphony X, Yes, and Dream Theater stuff at local gigs. We even wrote a seven minute instrumental revolving around George Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue, but with prog elements tied in.

@TMT: The only reason I named Metal bands is because I thought that's what XERQ was looking for. But there are specific guidelines for naming your band corresponding to the genre you play in. Just because a metal band name is typical doesn't make it cheesy, that's just what you have to use. You're not going to name a heavy metal deathcore band "Soul Riders."

Typical metal band names are pretty cheesy. You can be creative with it. It can be a metal name and not be cheesy.
