I made some new songs. The top 4 on the playlist I have never posted. The bottom 3 I have. "This is Love" has one curse word. "Modern Day Rebel" has one f-word. So that is my disclaimer. The rest of the songs are G rated in my opinion and have no cursing.

That Girl's A Sociopath - what an odd song I liked Styles Davis, though. Also, the movie clip - Battle Royale? That was the only movie that came to mind, lol.

edit: Actually, I liked Furious Styles better. Nice one.

The new song sounds like a mix between Gym Class Heroes and 311. And you don't have to hate on all "crunk" music. Every rapper has to make songs that will put food on the table...or in most of their cases 7 Escalades in their driveway, cabinets full of the most expensive Cognac, several thousand dollars worth of jewelry, etc...

This is just a wild guess, but judging from the context clues I'm going to say that the movie that you sampled from is Shogun Assassin. It sounded similar to some of the dialouge from a couple of songs off of the GZA's Liquid Swords album so I dug that cd up and looked at the insert and there's my guess.

But, I appologize, I don't think all krunk and club songs are garbage. Just most of them. And I'm not gonna sweat you liking it.

I'm assuming you want any feedback. I'm not trying to hate on your music, just going to be honest. Also I'm not an expert in any way, but I've been a fan of rap since I can remember. That being said I've been known to be overly critical so take what I say with a grain a salt.

Fly Type of Day
I like the beat. I didn't like the vocals and the chorus though, they didn't seem to go with the beat. Actually the chorus I'm not liking at all really.

Modern Day Rebel
I like it, no issues with it at all. Sounds like something people get paid for.

This is love
Didn't like it. Again something seemed off. The beat seemed kinda droning and the chorus seemed long.

Untitled
I like it. Again seems like a professional studio song. Kinda sounds like some tupac songs. Well written and emotional. The beat almost sounds like an NES game or something else retro, that's a bonus.
This is my favorite on the list. It needs a name.

Furious Styles
Didn't really like it. It's not bad just not the style I like. Reminds me of Bone Thugs N Harmony. That's not a bad thing at all, just not my thing. For what it is it sounds good. Nothing seems out of place or anything.

Miles Davis
I like the beat, sounds old school for sure. Kinda reminds me of Nate Dog and Warren G, that's not a bad thing either. I wasn't liking the chorus here though. Seemed to go on too long.

The City
First off I really like the guitar. Everthing else sounds good. I think the guitar makes it though, it's simple but it carries the song. One of the better ones on the list.

I listened to each song twice, the player froze on the city the first time. Hopefully you don't mind me being totally honest. Like I said I'm not claiming to be an authority on music.

Also which parts are you doing? I'm not familiar with what you guys do.

I do mostly everything, with a select few exceptions. I am pretty much a one man band at this point. Modern Day Rebel is an exception. That is a song I made for a contest using someone else's beat.

Like I've said before, I like your style. But to be honest, you can tell your production is of the basement studio variety. Have you tried to have any professionals listen to your stuff? I'm not an expert, but it sounds like there's a lot of potential here and I would think it's worth the effort to see what a trained ear thinks.

Don't get me wrong I don't think any of it sounds bad. If you're just doing this for a hobby and as an outlet that's cool. But if you want to do something with this I think you should see what people that can make you into something think. You're in school, right? You should start out by seeing if there's any open mike nights anywhere or parties that you can work at.

I get around. Some people know who I am in my city, and I used to have a band. I'm working on getting another band together.

I had a friend in high school that had some type of computer program that was probably similar to what you're talking about. He would do the same thing you mentioned about going though hundreds of sounds.
