He was well known for his books, quite a few of which were turned into movies, I opened this thread more to talk about his books and acheavements in life, but he will be missed...

Re: Micheal Crichton
He wasn't open about having cancer, he was "privately" fighting it, I didn't even know he was sick untill today, then I read he died

TMT he kept the fact that he had cancer private. He will be missed. Jurassic Park the book was one of his best known books (thats for some people who don't know who he is).

Re: Micheal Crichton
Not to make light of his death but I wasn't a big fan. The only thing I really like by him was ER. Jurassic Park was cool, any movie that has Newman from Sienfeld getting pwned by dinosaurs is worth watching.

Re: Micheal Crichton
tails he wrote the book jurassic park which was turned into the movie of the same name. He also wrote The lost world, Rising Sun, Twister, Congo, The Great Train Robbery, Sphere, The 13th warrior. He also created the T.V. show E.R. Most people don't know who he is until his work is told. So maybe that will help ya out a bit tails.

Re: Micheal Crichton
I see how my quote was wrong. I left out Tails, that was kinda the point. My bad.
I think Tails just posts like he's having a conversation irl, maybe from using a lot of IMs? Nothing wrong with that. When I post I treat it like writing a letter. If I don't know something I'll look it up first. Tails is free to correct me if I'm wrong but that's how it appears to me.
But, back on topic. I think my first post was too negative. I respect what he did. Anyone who can write so succesfully is talented. It just didn't appeal to me really. Either way it's a sad loss, he was relatively young.

You are correct, I never even use any search engines... EVER! Once in a great while.
