As some of you might have heard Don Lafontaine "The Voiceover Master" died today at the age of 68. This is another sad day, for now there will no-longer be that epic voice for those trailers

. as CBS may have said, "you may not know his name, but you know his voice" 750,000 television spots, 5,000 movie trailers, 1 voice.

I heard that on the way to work this morning. It's always a solemn occasion when any person passes, but I don't see my life being adversely affected by no longer having the epic movie voice for the trailers.

Think of it this way...Now some rookie in the minor leagues of voice-overs will get his or her shot. Don would have liked it that way. R.I.P. Don.
