Happy new year eveyone! sorry if i posted early, but its 00:16 here, and im sitting with a bottle of Stella Artois in my hand, but im not like this yet::drunk: anyway, Happy New Year! and may it be merrier than the last :drunk:

I'm in GMT +10, and add Daylight Savings on top of that. Either way, it's 1:49 PM New Year's Day. Any New Zealanders here? Becuase they're the only people I've met online that are ahead of us East Aussies.

So what did everyone do for New Years? Last night I went into the city. We went by train, which turned out to be a rather bad idea. We were squashed in like sardines. :wow: Though it was amusing to see someone try and get a pram onto an already crowded train...luckily, I got a seat. My uncle wasn't so lucky. :P

Of course, when we got the city, it was absolutely packed. Getting down the stairs from the station was a nightmare. Anyway, we wandered around the inner city for a while, and watched the fireworks over the river when it finally became midnight. We missed the countdown because we were too far away from the clock tower to see.

Not to mention that trams kept stopping in front of us)

Suffice to say, on the way home the trains were even more full because everyone was trying to leave from the same station!

I work away from home for 4 days at a time. No fun at all.

A friend of mine invited a bunch of us over to his place for the New Year. We had a blast, shared Christmas gifts with each other (since we were with our families on the actual holiday), and stayed up WAY too late.

Duh. My bad. But I guess it is up to interpretation of what too late is. Mine is probably about 4 a.m. Anything past that is too long. Of course, If I stayed up that late I would just sleep longer (like 2 p.m.).

yeah, i ussually stay at the house for the bells, and if i want to, i have friends just over the road and can visit them.

I usually stay at home but sometimes (like the past 3 years) I have to work. So, my New Years comes late. Nobody panic, though. I have 5 days off of work to do whatever I want. :twisted:

I watch good ol' Dick Clark and a peach drop(I live in Georgia). Nothing special.
